Love File Cabinet

I love this file cabinet. It is light weight but very sturdy. It didn't require any assembly except for attaching the handles on the 2 drawers. I really appreciated this because I hate assembling things. The drawers don't come off the track when I open them all the way like my old file cabinets. It is all one piece with a solid back so it doesn't fall apart like my old wood file cabinets. I was so happy with this file cabinet that I bought a 2nd one! I wish I had replaced my wood file cabinets with these metal ones years ago. They look just as nice in my home office area as the wood ones did. I really like the dark gray color. I would highly recommend it.

Small File Cabinet

I purchased two of these file cabinets for a client - they are perfect for office use for storage - not recommended for primary use - they are too flimsy. Unfortunately one was damaged - when I opened the box - the top edge had a large dent. When I returned it - Staples only had one left and the back and back edges were dented on the replacement file. The manager gave me 25% off because of the severe damage. I needed the file to complete the office setup and rather than wait to reorder a new file - which might have also been damaged - I took the replacement file The files have 3 drawers. One of the files was missing a drawer handle.

Great storage for my office. Fits under the drawing table. Lockable drawers keep my instruments safe.

Recently purchased this item although light weight it meets my needs by using it on my work van to store small boxed parts for service on appliances fits perfect in rear corner and easy access to the parts when I need them thinking of purchasing the full size 3 drawer for the front. The locking unit locks the two upper drawers and I use a magnet to secure the lower drawer. The drawers open about 75% so its easy access to get to whatever I need and it meets my needs of storage making my life easier to access items on the road

18" deep two drawer file cabinet

This cabinet is an excellent item at a great price. The drawers open and close smoothly and their design negate the need for hanging file frames. The baked on finish is attractive and durable. The locking mechanism is pretty basic and could easily be defeated. All in all however even the most complex bank vault door is not completely impregnable and the lock does what it is intended to do to keep honest people out. I am impressed with the overall performance of this cabinet and I would recommend it to anyone who is in the market for such a piece of office equipment.

the color is fine-but the metal is flimsy-i actually almost dented it by pulling it by the top of the drawer instead of the handle.but it should be alittle more durable/stronger than that.even though there is a lock on it-i am using it for home purposes-i am not sure the lock will hold out-if you pull at the drawer it bends easily.
