File cabinet was perfect for what I needed it for. With the upper two drawers that lock I can keep things in those drawers that need a secure space. The smaller upper drawer is just what I was looking for to keep those smaller items locked up. Having the 3 drawers is like having a regular filing cabinet with a bonus. You still have the same space as a regular filing cabinet. Plenty of room for your files and having a secure space to put those smaller items is a plus. It is just great for my needs.

Small-duty Cabinet

If you are seeking a small-duty light nice-colored locking cabinet then this product may work for you. However do not expect heavy-duty solid construction. The metal on this cabinet could be bent open with bare hands so the locking concept is almost irrelevant. We needed security so upon actually getting the unit out of the box and trying it we realized it would not do the job. It's nice enough for home use but don't expect it to keep valuables safe from theft. The handles were a bit difficult to assemble and were also sensitive...the screws made stress marks on the other sides of the handles that were visible once they were installed.

It's not bad but it's not great either. The drawers don't open and close smoothly but they do close tightly which is important to me. I wish the drawers would open a bit more than they do because it makes it hard to reach the files in the back of the drawers and it seems to move a bit and not stay "squared" even though I don't move it around. Overall I'd purchase it again. The convenience of being able to get it from Staples instead of having to drive further for a lower price is a trade I'm willing to make.

We purchased this file cabinet as something to set in the corner and hold files. We did not expect it to be this sturdy and durable. We like how heavy duty it is for the price. Would defiantely recommend.

Great Filing Cabinet

We ordered this filing cabinet for our office. Nice thing was it came fully assembled all we had to do was attach the handles. We love that it has two normal sized cabinets for hanging file folders and organization as well as the top drawer which is a great size for storing your basic office supplies so they are handy when you need them. Also the middle drawer features a lock only down side is it will only lock the top and middle drawer not the bottom drawer but that was no problem for us. We would highly recommend this product.

This cabinet is fine for the purpose it is to be used for as far as size and amount of material to be stored in it. How ever I think it would be more useful if it had wheels so it could be movable.

This side file cabinet is AWESOME. I love how the top two drawers lock with one key but the bottom compartment is still accessible if I want to keep less-secure stuff in it. It works really well but the only thing I would change is that it opens more. Its a little hard to reach some of the files in the back half of the middle drawer. Other than that I love it and it was a great price

I already had 2 of these file cabinets but needed 2 more for all my computer files and household items with guarantees. If it's guaranteed I save all the paperwork so I know right where to find it if needed. As for computer files most programs do NOT come with manuals anymore. IF you want to read up on something you have to print it out yourself and file it! It makes life so much easier when things are in order.
