Display model had different lock

I was looking for a new filing cabinet for my Mother. We prefered to have the 3 drawers and would have liked all of them to lock but 2 would work also. The display cabinet said it was commercial grade and had a regular desk type lock with normal lock keys. One of the staff members looked up the number on the cabinet and loaded it into my basket for me. When I unboxed it at my Mom's place the cabinet wasn't as sturdy as the one on display and had a different lock and keys which cannot be duplicated even by a locksmith. Was very disappointed in the product and even though it was on sale I don't feel it was worth the price paid.

File Cabinet

This file cabinet was exactly what I was looking for. I had ordered another file cabinet before I realized it had two file drawers instead of 2 small drawers. I waled into our local store and there was the right one right in front of us. The manager was there to help us and all though there were no more in stock we were able to purchase the one that was on the floor. We were offered help to get it in our car. When we got it home and set up there was enough room in it for extra paper for the printer (by the way the printer fit on top with room to spare) ink scissors paperclips envelopes stamps etc. etc etc.

Just what I was looking for!

This is exactly what I was hoping to find..and then some! I recently opened private practice and this is perfect for securely storing files and information that I need/prefer to have within arms-length distance. I don't have to interrupt a session by leaving my office to retrieve documents from our other filing cabinets which are located in not-so-easily accessible spots. Furthermore the service I received at the Staples location I went to was exceptional. The sales associate went above and beyond and this has certainly won my business!

Great little file cabinet.

I got this cabinet for my small office needs. I love that it has a drawer for small items as well as two filing cabinet drawers. It was easy to set up just took it out of the box and attached the handles with my phillips screwdriver. It is sturdy enough to hold all my files fits snugly under my desk so it's close to where I need it and can reach it promptly and easily yet is not taking up a lot of other floor space. I also like that I can lock it and keep the contents secure. I recommend this product for small office needs.

Office Desigs file cabinet

This cabenit is a good buy for a home office or small business. The drawers must have hanging files to work wellTg The lock is OK for keepin small children out. It would not keep anyone from "breaking in" however. The drawers are one you would not want to drop small items into by mistake. none of the drawers have a flat bottom. With hanging files this poses no problem. The top drawer hovever is useless without a drawer liner or a flat cut to size bottom inside. I plan to use a base on one side in the top drawer for a ream of printer paper. In the other cabinet (i bought 2) I plan to put a large plastic drawer liner for pens staplers paperclips etc. The handles can pull the front out of shape it you are not carefull. Over all for the price these will do the job. In my other office I use much heavier steel files because the locks are formidable and they take alot of abuse without bending or getting out of shape. I bought these for my home office.
