Bought 2 of these from a Staples store on 11/26/13 Nice looking filing cabinets not badly made -- very little assembly. However.. of the two we bought both were defective. The first had a bent drawer to the point the drawer couldn't be closed once opened. This appeared to be from a blunt impact to the top middle of the drawer -- but since there was no visible damage to the cardboard box I suspect this was from manufacturing. Not good. Was fixable with careful tapping with a hammer to resmooth the top of the drawer -- although the dent is still very apparent on the front of the drawer. The other cabinet was missing all 3 of the handles for the drawers. Now how useful is a filing cabinet drawer with no handles and no insets to pull it open with? Not good. We looked in the cardboard boxes and even lifted and shook the filing cabinet in case the handles had fallen in back of a drawer. We could not remove the drawers -- in this model the drawers are NOT removable. In summary -- OPEN THE BOX immediately and check for damage and that all parts are inside. If you got lucky they're not a bad item. But based upon a sample of 2 I would not recommend them.

there were no keys and it was locked. couldnot access drawer handles = may be in locked drawer

Metal Filing Cabinet

Sturdy construcion. Smooth sliding drawers. Bottom drawer handle is positioned incorrectly. It is too low. The 2 Filing drawers don't pull out far enough before the stops.

I made a terrible choice. I order this product on line I wish I had went into the store so that I could have inspected the selection in advance. the construction is flemsy after about a week I realized that the bottom draw does not lock. I needed a file cabinet that would offer me security. I could probably break into it with a butter knife. I like the fact that it came with three draws and the color. However nothing else met my expectations. I would not recommend this file cabinet to anyone unless they were just filing general papers.

Returning to Staples. Hanging file bars not properly spaced.

Do not recommend if you plan to use hanging files. I will be returning this file cabinet to Staples. The hanging file bars are not properly spaced apart so the hanging files are not able to "hang".

We have bought many of these file cabinets for a business and they are a perfect little unit. I ordered charcoal but somehow received a white one. We kept it as it is hidden but just sent wrong color.
