This is no different than the original Swiffer mop. Pushes around the dirt. Doesn't really scrub anything. I gave up on Swiffer years ago but when I seen this I thought I would give it one last try. Shouldn't have wasted my money.

We're sorry you're disappointed to find dirt left behind when using our PowerMop, Steph16. We're dedicated to making it easier and convenient to have your home sparkling clean, and lot of thought and research goes into our product designs. For best results, we recommend that always sweep or vacuum the floor before mopping. When using the PowerMop, spray cleaning solution onto the floor by pushing the spray button on the handle down for 2 or 3 seconds to release enough solution to clean 10 square feet of floor. Spray a generous amount of solution on the area you are cleaning. Let the solution sit for 10-15 seconds. If the pad doesn't glide smoothly, spray more solution. We recommend that you clean the least dirty area first, saving the dirtiest floor for last. We hope these tips help you see sparkling results in the future. Your satisfaction is very important to us, and our Swiffer Team is standing by ready to assist you. Please give our team a call at 1-800-742-9220 from 9AM -- 6PM EST Monday -- Friday, so we can help.

Unfortunately, I was hoping to use this mop for a long time but the sprayer function failed. Could not revive after several battery changes. The replacement pads are expensive but worth it if the mop had lasted more than 5 mos or so. Disappointed.

Sprayer doesn’t spray

I used this mop 7 times (used it 1 whole week) and the sprayer quit working. So I am now stuck with expensive disposable mop heads, and solution, and a mop that doesn’t function.

We understand how frustrating it can be when your Swiffer PowerMop stops working after one week of using it, Marisa. Our products are designed with the utmost care and undergo rigorous quality checks to ensure they reach you in perfect working condition. We're here to help you troubleshoot the issue. Here are a few suggestions we'd like you to try:
* Double-check to make sure all the pieces of the pole have snapped together properly during assembly * Check the solution bottle to make sure it's clicked into place and is not empty. If it's empty, replace it. Ensure the arrow printed on the bottle label is against the pole or that the narrow side of the bottle is against the pole. * Replace the batteries by inserting fresh AA alkaline batteries in the battery compartment. * Please make sure the battery door is closed all the way until it clicks. * The nozzles could be clogged. Brushing them gently may help them to start spraying.
So we can help you get back to Swiffering away, please call us at (800) 742-9220 Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM EST.

Glorified mop handle

Product would work just as well if not better if the pads were premoistened, just like the regular old Swiffer pads. The "power mop" feature is a lame gimmick.

STOPPED WORKING/Not worth it

Stopped working after 3 months of weekly use. I liked it for use between full moppings for easy clean up. BUT after buying new pads and refills and coming home to use it, the lights didnt come on, the spray didnt work, it didn't even make a noise. I put in brand new batteries and nothing. Basically its trash and I'm returning the pads and refills. I would stick with the regular swiffer with wet pads for quick cleans insted of this power mop.

We're sorry to hear this, as our PowerMop does go through strict quality checks to ensure that you can rely on it. You definitely took the right step by replacing the batteries, and we also suggest making sure that the solution bottle isn't empty and is fully inserted. As well, you can gently brush the nozzles to help loosen any clogs that may have formed. We hope these tips help, and please give us a call at (800) 742-9220 if you'd like further assistance.

does anyone know what the batteries are for??? No explanation on the literature, nor in comments section other than the batteries spray the liquid?, or the batteries have a light? (What light?), the batteries make a vibration in the mop handle? Yes very heavy to use and not liking the non refillable detergent bottle.

We're happy to explain what the batteries are used for in the PowerMop. The batteries are what allows the device to spray the liquid as well as also provide LED light on the head of the product. We're sorry you aren't a fan of the weight and the non-refillable solution bottle and will share your feedback with our Product Design Team. For more help, please feel free to give us a call at (800) 742-9220.

Dogs + 2 kids and it mops as well as a string mop but 10 times faster. Only problem is kids want to use it and will try to spray the whole bottle out.
