I just don't get it. Recently purhased this product because I thought it would be perfect for my hardwood floors and I cannot get the mop pads to stick. Followed the intructions to a T and I can't get it to stay put. Watched videos and tried again ... still no luck. I am putting the pad on the floor, lining up the strips and pushing down. I thought maybe the mop pad that came with it was old so I got a brand new pack from my local store and still can't get them to stay.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To troubleshoot, ensure you're using the correct Swiffer PowerMop pads, as only Swiffer brand pads will fit properly; regular Swiffer dry or wet sweeper cloths will not work. If the mop head is dirty, clean it to help the pads attach properly. For attaching the pad, spray the solution on the floor, place the pad on the mop head, and pass the pad through the solution to secure it. Make sure the printed side of the pad is facing the mop head, with the white and purple strips facing the floor. Didn’t work, have to return

Was really excited to use but when I got home and opened it I saw the battery were suppose to be had no metals or springs ( the batteries just fell out so obviously something was missing ) and the product didn’t work at all I have it sitting on the table because now I have to go return it and who has time to do all that, that’s the point of the mop because you don’t got time to mop why would I have time to go return this.

product let me down after a couple months

i’ve had my swiffer power for about two months. It worked great up until now. I just put fresh batteries in it and it won’t do anything when I press the button.

Cleaning solution too strong

I used this mop for the first time and it worked great, but the Fresh cleaning solution that comes with it is so overpowering that it makes me want to mop over the floor with soap and water just to get the smell out. We opened up the windows but now 3 hours later the smell is still too strong in the house.

Super disappointed.

Opted for the newer version, because it promised a deeper clean, ordered extra pads and soap, and got to use other twice before the batteries died. Replaced them with brand new ones, and they were immediately dead. Repeated, and again they didn't work. But they worked elsewhere... now I have a swiffer I cant use, and am out quite a bit of money. So disappointed

Not What I Expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This setup comes with everything you need to get started! However, I got this mop with the idea that the power on this mop would vibrate the mop somehow to create a higher level of cleaning. It doesn’t; this Swiffer mop is very similar to the traditional WetJet. The battery pack on the back of the mop is easy to load; the mop itself is easy to set up- but I don’t see the point of having a battery pack to literally only dispense cleaning solution. I could do the same with a trigger setup, and I wouldn’t need to change batteries or worry about them leaking. All in all, the product works fine but I’m not sure I see the point of calling this a “power mop” when the power only dispenses cleaning solution. This mop could have gone so much further, and stopped short of its potential somewhere in the design process.
