My son only uses mechanical pencils and has some pretty neat ones and metals ones and uses them for drawing also he says he likes the lead in these better then the old" kind."

Perfect Mechanical Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The BIC Velocity mechanical pencil has to be one of the best I have tried. It writes very nicely and writes darker compared to others. The lead does not break as easily as others I have used and it erases very nicely without all that eraser mess. My daughter loves the colors of the pencils, the lead is not colored just the shell of the pencil, and how comfortable it feels while writing due to soft rubber grip. Very easy to change the lead and eraser, just pop off the eraser and drop the lead in or pop on new eraser, so simple. Very nice to get both refills of lead and erasers with these pencils. We are very pleased with these and I will continue to buy these mechanical pencils.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am totally in love with Velocity from BIC. It's helpful for the kids to write with as they aren't teeny tiny in there hands. It also has this nice comfort sleeve for where the fingers do so there isn't hard wood or plastic making indentions in the fingers. We can write for hours on end and it doesn't make our hands cramp up from repeated use. They erase clean away when mistakes are made.

The eraser actually erases and doesn't smudge the lead around. The pencil isn't thin or cheap looking. I use it for school. The package comes with a handy pack of lead and erasers, too! BIC did an amazing job with these pencils.

Once again, BIC has a winner with the Velocity mechanical pencils. My son loves them. I love them. They are so easy to use. No need to sharpen...I so love this and it doesn't smudge. My son has already asked if he can bring them on the first day of school. I keep one in my purse and of course, they're in the pencil drawer at home. If you're looking for a great pencil, this is a must try.
