Smoother and stronger

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son needed mechanical pencils for his engineering class so I gave him one Bic Velocity and one store brand. Literally the next day he gave me back the store brand pencil complaining that it broke too much and the lead wasn't very dark. He asked for another velocity. What he liked about it was the dark, smooth writing on his graphs and the lead was strong and hard to break. He also liked the size of the barrel of the pencil--the store brand was much thinner. My son found the Bic Velocity easy to hold on to. I like the lead/eraser refill pack.

I tried writing with one and they wrote very smoothly and I was very surprised of how much I liked them. I work in healthcare and we use mechanical pencils at work for certain things and these are just perfect for our needs also so needless to say I will be purchasing more of these to pass out to the ladies at work. The only downside that my daughter expressed was the cap for the eraser. It was nice but a pain to remove when you needed to use. After a couple of uses the cap was lost and long gone."

Great pencils for back to school

I gave them BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils for back to school this year, which for our kids was very early (almost 7 weeks ago already). I just checked in with them yesterday, and both kids are still going strong with their original set of pencils! None have broken, they still have plenty of lead, and there is still some eraser left on it. It's a pencil miracle! They love using these pencils and are happy to have a reliable writing utensil in their desks.

These guys are great not only do they come in a multipack, they come with replacement/extra lead and erasers. The colors are bright and I can share them among my three kids who are elementary to high school. My high schooler loves how smooth they write and how dark the lead prints. My 2nd grader can easily hold them and they erase almost smoothly. My middle schooler likes how things the print is with them. High marks all around and easily works for all grades. I definitely recommend.

That has all changed with the BIC Velocity! He has mentioned even without me asking that he loves how they write and feel... and that they erase smoothly! When you get a teenager telling you a product is good without even being prompted then you can bet you can take that compliment to the bank!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bic pencils write very well. You can put pressure on them without the lead breaking. The lead is nice and dark and writes very smooth. My only complaint is they do not erase well at all. I am hoping once the eraser is used a bit, it will work better but right now it is like rubbing plastic over the pencil marks I want to erase.

I really liked the style and ease of use but when you erase something it makes the lead move up. I would want to know how simple it is to change the lead.
