Bic Velocity Mechanical pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think these are the best pencils ever!! Both of my sons love them for school. They use them every day. They saiy that they are super smooth to write with. My 12 year old son really likes the fact that the lead doesn't break as easy as other mechanical pencils seem to do. We are very happy that we got to try these. I have bought 4 more packages since they came for use to try out. I have a feeling they have replaced our old mechanical pencils because they are so great. Thanks for the opportunity and making school work and homework just a little easier for my children.

So what an easier way that to let them pick up a pack of these awesome Velocity pencils. They write so smooth and don't smear. The kids like using them and picking out their favorite colors. They won't use any other.These are amazing pencils and you can't go wrong. A highly respected company with products that work and last. Make learning fun with BIC!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The timing for this Buzz Campaign could not have been more perfect. It's nearly time to go back to school for both my kids and myself. When I buy school supplies for my kids I want them to be of the best quality so they can get the most use out of them. I will admit, that I have had some not-so-good experiences with mechanical pencils in the past, so I was a bit skeptical going into this. Each package of Bic Velocity comes with 5 pencils as well as a container of replacement lead (BONUS!). The pencil felt great in my hand, thanks to the comfort of the rubber grip. I noticed right away that when I pushed the eraser end to extract the lead, that the metal tip also retracts. Nice! Just the right amount of lead came out. I used the pencil, initially to do a crossword puzzle. This is a great test, since I made many mistakes and had to use the eraser often. The eraser comes with a plastic cap. I guess this nice for presentation's sake, but I was left trying to find a place to stash the cap when not in use. The cap is not necessary in my opinion. That being said, the pencil was very easy to write with, so snags, skips or breaks. The eraser erased my mistakes beautifully and completely...no smears or smudges. I like the thought of using Bic Velocity mechanical pencils at home because my kids are rough on pencils and are constantly breaking the lead. Bic Velocity solves this issue with just a click of the eraser end. Bic Velocity will be our go-to pencil!

I find myself making unnecessary additions to my to do list. The yellow traditional BIC mechanical pencils got a great upgrade with the fun new colors. It has a grip and feels substantial in your hand. I will be buying more of these. I shared them with my daughter but hid a few back for myself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For Elijah's first day at school (really only a half-day), he's been instructed to bring only a pencil. That pencil will be a BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencil. We like them because they come in bright colors, are easy to grip, and their sturdy lead writes smoothly. I also love how their provided eraser comes covered with a cap and erases very clean - because everybody makes mistakes, right? Elijah gets to pick from a choice of yellow, purple, orange or blue barrels (I keep the pink for myself!), and the pack of five pencils comes with extra leads and extra erasers. I deducted one star because for myself, I like a somewhat finer lead - what comes with the pencils is a full .7mm. If I can get pencils with .5mm, I'll be delighted. All in all, BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are perfect for heading back to school, or to work, or wherever you might want to do some writing yourself.

Bright colors to please anyone. The pencil has a nice grip which made writing comfortable. The lead was smooth, no missed pencil strokes. When erasing it didn't leave lead smudges like other pencils do. Perfect for tests, note taking and drawing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My child has dysgraphia and writing is a challenge. Traditional pencils have not been great, as the grip is too hard and the writing too light. These are much more comfortable to grip and he doesn't need to press so hard for it to show up on paper. There's also no problem with sharpening them and having the points break off. The eraser works really well also, and doesn't get all dark and gummy when it's used too often. We'll definitely be buying more!
