Great for a pencil!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these from Bic to try for free - and first let me say, I HATE pencils. I hate writing with them. I hate everything about them and prefer to use pens. But...I actually liked this pencil! The lead was dark and smooth, and almost made it feel like I was writing with a pen! My kids will be taking packs of these to school, and I'll even be using them at home. And that's quite the compliment from someone who hates pencils!

The writing is smooth, the grip is so comfortable and the eraser actually works. I love that the package comes with refills!! Great for Kindergarten

Since we recieved the Bic Velocity Mechanical pencils he has been interested in drawing pictures and just doodling on a notepad more. He thinks they are just the coolest thing ever. He has a variety of bright colors to choose from and being that they are #2 pencils he will be ready for school. A plus side to these are the fact it has the rubber grip to hold that makes it more comfortable for him. I think this is a great product for any kid in school. #GotItFree #BicVelocity

My kids are fighting over them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two boys - a 14 year old and a 7 year old. They absolutely love these mechanical pencils and I don't know if I will ever get them back to the standard #2 pencils. Their poor teachers will probably have a time, especially the smaller one, telling them they can't use them for a standardized test, even though they technically can use them since they are #2 lead. I can say that I was able to try them for myself a couple of times, and really liked them. The lead was smooth and doesn't break easily like many mechanical pencils. This is definitely a must buy.

The soft grip has made it easy for them to handle the pencil especially my 7 year old who still doesn't have the best grip . Easy to fill and love the colors . I was not a fan of mechanical pencils prior due the tip constantly breaking but the kids have not had this issue and really enjoy them.

All pencils claim to write smoothly, but this one really does. I was impressed by just how easily mistakes erase. I used these to plan out my school schedule and made a lot of adjustments". I've replaced my other pencils with these - the pink is my favorite. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5

They each got to pick two of their favorite colors to take to school, and got to keep them in their own pencil boxes, instead of putting them in the community bin, because they were so special! they have been writing with them, can erase easily, and my youngest with a broken thumb doesn't have to worry about trying to sharpen it!!

With other pencils the lead breaks right away but with these, the leads are strong and the eraser too. My kids loved them so much that they are ready to start using them with their homework soon.
