[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free pack of BIC Velocity mechanical pencils to try in return for my honest opinion. I was excited once the Bzz campaign kit arrived. I like how the pencils are colorful and not just one pack of the same color. They're mechanical pencils, which means no sharpening and package includes extra refills of erasers and lead! They erase clearly, and don't leave any smudges behind. The pencils write really soft and smooth. The pencil design makes it have a good grip of the pencil while writing, does not slip and is easy to hold on to. Definitely adding this item on the back to school shopping list.

They have super strong lead that writes very smoothly. It also erases very easily leaving behind contract of what was written before. My children also love that is has a rubber cushion on it when the pencil in held by the fingers. My daughter was starting to get a bad callous from writing so much but with these mechanical pencils her fingures don't hurt so bad. Now my children will not use any other kind of mechanical pencils. #BicVelocity #GotItFree

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had my two children age 13 and 11 try out BIC Velocity pencils. My 13 year old said she loves how she can easily grip the pencil. She says it writes smooth and erasers better then the standard BIC pencil. My 11 year old says he likes the cool colors best. But he also said his hand don't hurt well writting. My kids approval is worth spending the extra money.

We just started using regular pencils and were sharpening them hourly. I had him try these and what a difference. My son is autistic so sometimes writes to hard but the lead did not break as often and the pencil worked every time. They come with extra erasers which is great as he uses it a lot.

As soon as they arrived, she took off with one of the packs. They bring many great features such as a comfort grip, 0.9m lead that writes nice and dark, an eraser that erases the dark lead; cleanly and don't forget, cool colors; pink my favorite and purple my daughters. Unlike your average mechanical pencils, thin/skinny, these are thicker like a pen which I think gives you better grip. #GotItFree #BICVelocity

They smudge the graphite and it takes more effort to erase, which is not the most favorable trait with artists like myself.
