[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually use a regular old pencil since all the mechanical pencils I've used just weren't good. Trying the new Bic velocity mechanical pencil was a good experience. I had to take notes in my contemporary math class & used the Bic velocity, not only did it write dark but the lead didn't break. The only thing I would change is the thinness of the lines. I don't know if this would effect how well the lead doesn't break but I like a thinner line. Other than that it held up well & the eraser didn't crumble into bits when used.

They absolutely love these mechanical pencils and I don't know if I will ever get them back to the standard #2 pencils. Their poor teachers will probably have a time, especially the smaller one, telling them they can't use them for a standardized test, even though they technically can use them since they are #2 lead. I can say that I was able to try them for myself a couple of times, and really liked them. The lead was smooth and doesn't break easily like many mechanical pencils. This is definitely a must buy.

They are lighter than other brands, and sturdier. The built-in grip makes them comfortable to write with. Thr package even came with replacement led. We are super happy with these pencils.

They are easy to use and easy to refill. The lead does not break easily and the colors are nice and bright so that they don't lose them. Great product for the price.

I love that they don't make that squeaky sound that most mechanical pencils make when writing with them. The only suggestion I can make is that the erasers don't erase very well so that needs to be improved on.

A nearly perfect pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these new pencils from BIC. They are very bright so I can find them in my junk drawer, though I would love to see a bright green one since I am not a pink fan. I love, love LOVE that the metal portion of the tip retracts completely into the unit so I don't stab myself when searching my purse for a writing implement. I love the chunkiness of the grip and how dark and smooth it writes. I also really love that it comes with not only extra leads but extra erasers. I have thrown out numerous other brands of mechanical pencils because they had refillable leads but a fixed eraser and once that was worn down you either couldn't erase or had to carry around a separate eraser. The only think that could possible make these better is that I found the little indentation for your grip to be slightly too far up the pencil for my preference. I found my fingers settling a bit below this in the hollow at the far end by the tip which was still comfortable but didn't give quite as much control in my writing. This is a minor issue however and I would not give these up because of it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these pencils. I am a mechanical pencil user and always have been but these pencils have help up better than the typical mechanical pencil. I do accounting work and I use pencils a lot because I have to make changes and this pencil is great. Also I like that the lead doesn't break as easy as other brands. My son liked to use them for his drawings too but I think that I actually like them more than he does. I will be buying these in the future.
