[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with these pencils and so are my kids. They are thicker and hardier than an average mechanical pencil. I feel like I am writing with a pen instead of a pencil. They sure have been handy with back-to-school for the kids and for writing all of our family stuff on the calendar. I prefer to use a pencil when writing important dates on the family calendar and the eraser works wonderfully to edit or re-write an event. The bright colors makes them easy to find. I highly recommend these pencils, not only for the kids but for mom's. I use them everyday. They work great for my grocery shopping list as well. Thanks for a great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the style of the pencil is great, however, my Sophmore says she would prefer them to be in the 0.9 size rather then the 0.7, as the lead continues to break and when she uses the eraser, it pushes out extra lead. She does like the style of the pencil though. She would just prefer the thicker lead.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I couldn't find an ink pen the other day, so I grabbed a Velocity... Pinkie, because what 11-year old can use a pink pencil? I was immediatley impressed with the pencil, confusing it with an ink pen thanks to the plastic on the bottom that provided the pencil support so not to break... I like that... I began writing with the pencil and discovered that it even writes as smoothly and easily as an ink pen (its been a long time since I used a pencil.) My writing actually looked good! The eraser wipes all of my mistakes away and I personally think pink rocks... Now I can understand why my son is so very excited and picky about the pencils he uses... These are totally worth the buy!

Great writing, smooth lead

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the way these pencils write but, I have to say, for my son whose 10, I just don't think he's ready for them yet. Both he and I write pretty hard and he tended to play with the mechanics of the pencil more than focus on the writing. The leads tend to break when he writes, though the eraser works very well. Another drawback is I had two pencils break on me; the bottom part at the tip. It was right in the middle of writing something important both times. Also on another pencil the plastic at the eraser broke, so technically I could still use that pencil, but I could not attach it to a notebook. If I do buy mechanical pencils in the future, I would definitely consider buying these pencils and hopefully will not have the problems with the pencils breaking.

It's nice you get refill lead and also eraser, that way you don't have to throw away or use the pencil with out an eraser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Husband and kids are crazy for the new BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils. My daughter is crazy for the colors, and they both love the comfort grip and the size of the pencil. And my husband has already replaced his favorite pencil with a new yellow Velocity. The 3 most popular reasons with everyone in my house are the ease of reloading, the lead does not push back into the barrel as you write, and those little erasers really deliver, eliminating the mark, without destroying the paper. I am impressed with the strength of the lead. It doesn't snap or bend when you write, and it doesn't over feed when you advance it. I also feel like the lead last longer, so you need less to write more. I figured because of all these features, these pencils would be a treat in our house, but when we went to get school supplies, I was shocked that their price is in line with other pencils, and doesn't make them an extravagant purchase. This will be the new go-to pencil in our house and in my kids backpacks.
