Best & smoothest mechanical pencil yet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At this time I cannot imagine my daughters using a different mechanical pencil during the school year unless BIC decides to invent an even better version of this VELOCITY model. The lead writes smooth and dark, which is an improvement over any other lead my daughters have used to date. They no longer use any other pencils as they now prefer to use only these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love to write in pencil but I find myself disliking it to because I have had those experiences with mechnical pencils where you write and then the lead breaks and then you write and the lead breaks and you get where I am going with this. Well the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are not that type of pencils. It almost feels like you are writing with a pen it feels so smooth. Sometimes you also have the issue with the lead where it gets bumpy but I also did not have that issue. I also like that these have very nice colors but they are not overly out there. I can have them at work and I can also have them in my bag for running around. They are very versatile. My children also used them for school and they commented and said they wanted me to buy more of those good" pencils."

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As I had mentioned in my prior review I rely on pencils to do my job daily. I only interview defendants using pencils bevause I need to be able to edit and change as I write. The bane of my existance had been mechanical pencils. My lead always broke, it was hard to put lead back in and I resorted to regular No. 2 pencils. All of that changed when I was introduced to BIC Velocity. I have used them 8 hours a week, minimum, since the campaign started and all I can say is wow. My hands feel like I have not been writing at all, despite doing just that 6 hours today in the jail. I have had absolutely no issues with lead breaking, smudges, or erasers. I have even been able to go up to doing 5 -6 interviews per day solely because of these pencils. My hands don't hurt and the lead never snaps. Previously I averaged 4 reports per day. Bic has made such a difference in my work I wish I could give them a hug. I'm so glad I got to try this product for free #gotitfree BIC, you have made me a velocity addict for life.

smooth as butter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do a lot of writing for work purposes. I have used the regular #2 pencils and I have used mechanical pencils. Both have their disadvantages. Pencils have a habit of breaking at the most inopportune times. The Bic velocity pencil was different. First thing I noticed was the comfort grip. When you write as much as I do and you have carpal tunnel, comfort is everything and this pencil has it. Secondly, it writes as smooth as butter. Other pencils have a jagged, almost skip like when writing. Not this pencil. Mistakes are cleaned easily, leaving no messy residue or pencil smudging. I suppose parents would say these were good for kids but I think they are perfect for adults as well. I work in a public bus yard, I have to write down the bus locations for over 200 buses. This in itself can be a tedious job, then I have to write out the bus assignments. Previously, my hand would get tired but with these pencils, I find myself not needing to stop as often. Definitely a plus for someone with a tiresome hand.
