These pencils have not had that problem yet. Me and my kids have been using for a couple of weeks now and we love them. This will be our pencil of choice from now on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well after moving house just recently and finding that the lovely people at Bic have sent me some free mechanical pencils to test, I thought, what better way to put them to the test than to draw up my new room plans with them! They arrived in a very colourful packet and I really liked the mixed colours of the pens themselves! They have a great little eraser on the end and (one of my favourite bits about these pens) they also have spares!!! Yippee! I always run out of eraser well before the pencil wear out! Well down Bic for that. Ok let's get down to business, the pencils have a lovely feel when you write with them and have a wonderful dark colour to the writing so when I draw my plans up, I don't have to press hard to be able to see them, they are not particularly smudgy and the lads are easy to replace. All in all I'm pretty impressed with these. I have stuck some in my 13yr old's bag for school but we have another few weeks before he goes back so I'll have to see what he thinks of them then.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE these pencils but don't really ever use pencils. I signed on to do this BzzAgent campaign because my school age kids wanted to try these. Both kids teachers told them they don't like them using them as they create a distraction in the classroom. The boys use them to do homework and enjoy using them. I have noticed how much better they are than what I used when I was in school YEARS ago! The lead is stronger and they erase better/cleaner than before. I'm not sure if I would buy them again since they can't use them in school but they are nice.

Constant writers know that with writing comes sore fingers, but the soft grips allow for comfortable writing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These came in the nick of time. My little brother was starting school and he needed some lead pencils. Of course, he is such a picky person with his supplies. When I showed him the BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils that I received for free to review for BzzAgent, he immediately became interested in them because of the colorful packaging. Its been a month since he started school and so far these mechanical pencil are still going on strong. Usually the lead pencils that I bought for him before would break and be all over his backpack in pieces with the lead and lead refill at the bottom. These are so sturdy and stront that they are still in one piece and no mess!! That is definitely a huge plus in my book. I have already handed out some of the coupons to his classmates' moms and bought some more for him to keep in stock. I definitely recommend these and think they are worth the price.
