So I was so excited to be offered a free sample of the BIC velocity mechanical pencils to try out. Colors are vibrant and fun, it came with extra lead and get this extra erasers* *highlight for my twelve year old. We dug right in and have used them to complete the summer reading project and just are day to day list. We love the feel and they write great and seem not to snap as often as others. So excited to share the great coupons with the other back to school moms! 5 stars in our book!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use Bic mechanical pencils. They are fine except for the fact that the erasers always rub out before the pencil does. I am currently taking accounting classes and I can attest to that fact! However, I was excited to receive the Bic velocity mechanical pencils and see that included in the packaging are extra erasers and leads. Yeah! The lead seems softer so easier to glide over paper but I think it smudges a little bit easier, too. The eraser does a fine job of completely and cleanly erasing even the smudges. The pencil has the comfort grip that eliminates hand cramps when you are ciphering" for a long time. I am glad I switched to the Bic velocity mechanical pencils for the remainder of my classes."

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We liked the bright jewel-toned colors of these BICVelocity Mechanical pencils. They were cool enough for me the kids to like yet still sophisticated enough that the grown ups could use them in a professional setting. The soft grip was easy on our fingers so we didn't get those indentations while writing for long periods of time. The lead writes very smoothly and darker than other brands but doesn't smudge on the paper so you get lead transferred onto the side of your hand. These are very stylish and highly functional mechanical pencils.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils come in a great selection of beautiful colors pink, yellow, orange, blue and purple. It also includes extra erasers & lead for each pencil which makes this pack a little different from other mechanical pencils! The pencil itself has a little thicker barrel which makes it very comfortable to hold, writes smoothly, effortlessly & is easy to write with. My 2 daughters ages 3 and 10 were excited to pick their favorite colors (pink & purple). I was able to watch them each use their pencil and this is what I was able to observe with them.... Both were able to hold the pencils comfortably in their hands, both were able to write, trace and draw lightly and boldly to their desires. My 3 year old was tracing #'s and letters with her pencil and noticed that the lead was bold enough to be seen over the dark tracing prints. My oldest was drawing pictures and was able to make some beautiful shading with the pencils, and was also able to press down hard enough to make dark lines and was able to write beautifully. The pencils themselves are very comfortable to hold, and left no obvious marks or bumps on their hands/fingers.The only issue I noticed was my youngest seemed to push out more lead every time she was trying to erase, whereas this only happened a couple of times when my oldest was erasing. Overall the erasers erased pretty nicely and left very minimal marks. The quality of these mechanical pencils are outstanding versus a lot of the others offered in the stores. I will continue to buy these for my kids!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great pencils! They have a much nicer grip than other mechanical pencils we have used. I love that the eraser also has a cap on it since I tend to bite down on pens and pencils while I am doing things on the computer. The tip of the pencil retracts when you try to put it away and is less likely to get stuff stuck in it. The lead writes very smoothly and is really nice when it comes to bubbling in things. The lead even though is darker than others, it still cleanly erases easily. My son was really excited about taking these to school to use rather than his old" pencils from last year. The colors are bright which makes them even more attractive. We were able to write his name on them as well using a sharpie so hopefully they won't disappear so fast!"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love school supplies and testing out new pens and pencils. I tend to write only with pencil for a lot of things because then you can erase. A good eraser is important too, and these seem to take care of the job. I also like a pencil with big thick led. These have a great led that doesn't seem to snap each time you start writing like some mechanical pencils do. I like that these have a comfortable grip too.
