Definitely Some Vroom in these Mechanical Pencils

Plus the comfort of the barrel made if feel like I was holding a pen. I love I had control and didn't have to re-sharpen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a Bzz Agent, I was able to try BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils for free. I was a little skeptical because of my past experiences with mechanical pencils. Ones I have purchased in the pass would never feel smooth while writing and also had issues with the lead breaking too easy and never coming out of the barrel properly. BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils had none of those issues! I definitely will purchase these in the future! A pleasant surprise!

LOVE THE PRODUCT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually stick to the packs of BIC pencils that have 24 cheap pencils in them, but I am so glad I bought these! I was actually a little apprehensive when I first ordered them - I only bought them because a friend loaned me his and I lost the pencil cap and I felt soooo bad I just had to replace his. But, they have become my favorite lead based writing utensil! Anyway, personally I think these pencils are great. They write very smoothly. I haven't had an issue with putting too much pressure and having the lead snap. My friend who actually has this issue with a lot of pencils doesn't have it with these either. The erasers on these pencils are pretty nice too. They don't seem to disintegrate into tiny specks like ones on cheaper mechanical pencils. They also don't make that horrible 'noise' that the pink erasers do either, which is great. One thing I do dislike about these though is that they get used up pretty quickly. I've been mainly only using the pink pencil and eraser is about halfway gone already and it's only been about 3 weeks since I got these. It's a little disappointing, but the pack does come with extra erasers. I'd definitely recommend getting a separate eraser though, like one of the the big rectangle ones. Speaking of erasers, one thing I don't understand is the caps. The erasers have caps on them. ...Why? The whole cap thing is why I had to get these in the first place. I think they're supposed to prevent having the lead get pushed out accidentally while you have the pencils in your bag or a case or something. However, upon trying out these pencils for the first time, I immediately lost two of the caps. They're clear so they are very difficult to find if you misplace them. Be careful.

The fact that the erasers work so well is a huge bonus! My daughter used them at camp to write in her journal and she loved them. I also like how the lead doesn't break as easily as other pencils! I also think that the price for these is super reasonable. Definitely have and will continue to recommend these to friends and family!

Smooth and colorful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Office supply stores are my happy place, and new writing instruments are my favorite things to buy, so getting to test out the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils was pretty awesome for this working mom. I took most of the pack to work with me, but also sent 2 to school with my 7th grader this morning when she left for her very first day of junior high. The Velocity pencils have a very smooth grip and feel nice to the touch, and I hope they'll withstand the hours of note taking that I'm sure my oldest will encounter soon. One of the BEST things about this pack of pencils was the inclusion of extra lead and extra erasers. There's no doubt that you have the correct size of each, and they are in a handy case to keep them safe. Big bonus points there.

My 10 year old is getting to the age of not liking a regular #2 pencil. She prefers a mechanical, so these couldn't have come at a better time. She's super stoked about getting to take a couple to school this year! She's constantly sitting down and writing stories or drawing pictures! She loves the colors and the fact that when she makes a mistake, she can easily erase it. These are, by far, the easiest and most effectively erasable (if that makes sense) mechanical pencils we have ever used. I love the fact that the lead is stronger and, therefore, we go through less of it because it's breaking a lot less frequently! The only somewhat negative comment I could possibly come up with is that I would have loved to have seen more replacement lead (since there are 5 pencils in the pack). That's not a deal breaker, though, since these pencils are great! I struggle with my fingers hurting where I grip the pencil and I've used this one for an hour straight and it doesn't happen thanks to the gripper on the end! I would definitely recommend these pencils to everyone, students, teachers, office personnel, etc., and have! I have shared a couple that I received in my freebies and look forward to sharing the coupons I received, after I use a couple to boost my own stock!
