better than good, they're sturdy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My teen is remarkably destructive with pencils and prefers mechanical pencils since he doesn't like wasting time sharpening. I don't like to buy the mechanical pencils as they are expensive and the lead tends to be quite fragile. Not so with these. They seem to glide more smoothly and the weight of the pencil itself gives it a much sturdier feel than the one we usually purchase. The erasure marks don't seem as prominent either. There is also less smearing. My teen writes and doodles with both hands, so sometimes the lead smears across the page (when writing or drawing lefty). Overall, I was very impressed and more importantly, the teen was impressed. We packed his backpack full of these last week. Two thumbs up here. One from the teen and one from the happy mom.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love office supplies so when I was chosen for this BzzCampaign, I literally jumped for joy! When the pencils arrived, I called my kids and their friends over to choose one to try. These pencils are some of the nicest mechanical pencils I've seen. They have nice colors and come with extra lead and erasers. Most mechanical pencils are disposable because of the erasers. Once they're gone, you either have to buy eraser caps and fuss with them or just throw them away. These are reusable which is very nice. Every time I see my kids, they're either writing with them or drawing with them. They prefer them over their drawing pencils. They're also affordable which makes them the best! These are our new favorite mechanical pencils!

I thought they would be like any other mechanical pencil but they are NOT. They sit in our hands perfect and the lead does not break like those other mechanical pencils. I have used my BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencil every day and I have not had to refill it yet. I still have lead left over. My daughter is in high school and she uses it all day every day and she is amazed at how well these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils work.

I've bought all different brands, usually whatever was on sale. I have to say, they were pretty impressed with these, specifically the strong leadership that doesn't easily break from writing too hard. They also liked that these come with lead and eraser refills. I also tried them myself and was impressed by how comfortable the grip is. This is definitely a brand we'll stick with.

I homeschool my daughter and she drives me absolutely batty how often she would sharpen her pencils. She likes her pencils to be really sharp which she can only achieve by sharpening often. With BIC Velocity, she doesn't ever have to sharpen and has a sharp point consistently! Better yet, I can read her work easier because they write dark and with a fineness that doesn't make her words jumbled together. She is happy because these come in her favorite color...pink! I am thrilled because I no longer have to listen to that pencil sharpener!
