They both like using mechanical pencils in school, but got frustrated last year with how often their pencils broke and ran out of lead. They have been using these BIC Velocity pencils for two weeks and they both agree they are the best pencils they have ever used. They write very smoothly and don't break easily, saving both lead and time. These will be the only pencils our family purchases from here on out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WOW! you'd think how can a mechincal pencil be different from others right?Bic Velocity writes so smooth and erases with ease. I use mechanicl pencils for work and personal use, this is one that I really have no issues with. The grip at the end of the pencil is comfortable, fits great in my fingers, it is light and as I stated above its smooth writing almost gliding across the page. I let my son have 1 (yes only 1) he LOVES this pencil. When he made a mistake the eraser took all of the lead off the page. When he writes he doesnt have the lead breakage like he has with other mechanicl pencils. We will be adding Bic Velocity pencils to our school supply shopping list this year!

After sharing the five pack with five of her friends, they all now Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils as well, including the parents. Myself as well. My daughter says the pencil will squeak at times" but I nor anyone who sampled the mechanical pencils have had said problem. We love the colorful design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave these to my daughter who started 7th grade this year. She likes to use the mechanical pencils so she doesn't have to worry about carrying around or finding a pencil sharpener. Refilling is cleaner and much easier than sharpening. These come in a variety of colors but they aren't too bright so that even older kids or adults would want to use them. I really like the finger grips so they are easier to hold.

The bright colors are fun, too! The lead was dark enough and easily erasable. I'd like to keep the whole pack to myself, but I know I'll send some to school with the kids! My daughter is a sophomore and used only mechanical pencils and the ones she's used before constantly broke. Since using these, not one has broke. I would recommend these to anyone who used mechanical pencils!
