[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first mechanical pencil that actually writes like a pen! I think the price is actually great considering you get 5 pencils with extra led refills and eraser refills too! They write smooth the lead doesn't snap off when writing and the erasers actually do a great job. I love the colors too. They look and feel like expensive lead pencils. I will buy them for home, the office and the kids for school. I have already had two of them borrowed" from my desk at work so obviously everyone else loves them too!"

Great BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son started high school this week so I gave him a package of the BIC Velocity pencils from my BZZ kit to take. He loves mechanical pencils and will use nothing else. So, today I asked him how he liked the new pencils and he said he really likes the grip. He likes the colors and the softness. He said the lead was good and wrote well. He likes the eraser but he isn't sure about the eraser cap. He admits that he has lost one already. Overall though he loves the new BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils and plans on using them this year.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I opened one today at school and had to take a double look to make sure I was using a pencil!!! These rock! Not only do they look like pens but they feel like pens in your hands. They aren't the cheap brands that I used to buy, they feel heavy in your hand like a pen would. They also wrote so much better than regular lead pencils. I was impressed by the quality!! My kids might keep using the regular cheap ones but I deserve the best! I'm a high school teacher...I put up with teenagers all day, I NEEDED these pencils! On a dreary Monday, they make me feel like a Friday!!!

My siblings are very excited about bringing these to school with them and having a fresh pack to start the school year off. Just hoping they won't lose them!

I like that there is extra lead and erasers, now just so they don't loose the extra lead and erasers. I told them to share one package so I can use the other at my clubs to let friends try them. I'll let you know what they say. In summary these a nice to write with and of good value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils are not just in pretty colors but they work great too. The leads are nice and smooth and dark enough as well - -they are #2 HB so they can be used for test taking!! They also come with extra leads and erasers too.And also, they are very comfortable (with a rubbery grip) to use which is very important. We really love these pencils! I also really like that they have the look of a pen, even the eraser has a cap on it to give it that plastic push button feel. Great set! I recommend them!

According to the boys, the pencils are no better than any other mechanical pencils. We did appreciate the enclosed refill. The included gripper is larger on these vs the others, which makes writing a lot less uncomfortable. The boys also like that the pencils are clear, that way you can tell if you need a refill. I appreciate that they are clear and light weight as well. Also happen to like the variety of colors. My boys gave me all the girly" colors. Overall they are okay pencils."
