The lead doesn't break as easily as most mechanical pencils. They include a lot of extra lead and erasers. The fun colors are nice and bright for kids. The pencils write smooth without smudging or feathering.

My daughter hates to write

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I won't lie, my youngest daughter hates to write. Yet when the new mechanical pencils came in, her cute little eyes lit up. Not because of the cool colors (although she loves them) and not the extra lead (although we always run out) but it was the extra erasers. With a student who struggles despite many lessons and practice to write neatly, having easy to erase lead AND extra erasers makes these a win win in our house.

Best pencils ever

They are easy to grip with the rubber placed in just the right spot. The lead is strong and doesn't break. And it erases so good I was just shocked! Pencils always leave behind whatever they were writing before. Homework can look pretty messy. But not this year! He actually came home today and went straight to homework, excited to use his new super cool BIC Velocity mechanical pencil. It's nice to see him excited for homework. Shocking, but really nice! There's enough colors to please both boys and girls. Overall just a great mechanical pencil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited the day my Bzz box came! It's like Christmas morning! Open it up and here are 2 packs of BIC Velocity Pencils! Of course my daughter and I opened them up right away! I went to making my grocery list, she started writing something or drawing, I'm not sure! But 20 minutes later when I asked her what she thought she was begging for more for her new school year at the middle school! Of course with coupons that also got sent I had to say yes of course we can get more! She loves having such a nice pencil to take to school with her. She said her absolute favorite part is the grip. On other mechanical pencils she has had in the past, we have had to buy a separate grip for them. NOT FOR THESE!!! They have a really nice grip on them. AND the best part of ALL! They are an amazing pencil and are NOT VERY EXPENSIVE!
