[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We're big fans of mechanical pencils, and I honestly don't remember the last time my children asked me to buy those plain, boring yellow #2 pencils. When my boys tore into my package of BIC Velocity mechanical pencils, they immediately put them to use. As a parent, I love that these pencils are convenient to use and don't require sharpening. I also love that they're ready to go right out of the package. The boys remarked several times about the smooth tips and how they seemed to glide over the paper they were drawing on. The barrels are very easy to grip and the lead is thick and dark, so whatever you write or draw comes out clear and vivid. Erasing didn't create a mess either, like it does with regular pencils, and that is a huge plus. The package comes in a wide assortment of fun colors, so you can easily pick and choose a different color for every day of the week, and these colors are suitable for both boys AND girls. The container that houses the lead refills is sturdy and holds up much better in my son's crowded backpack than the flimsy breakable containers that so often come with other brands of mechanical pencils. After sampling the Velocity variety, I'm positive our family of four will never settle for boring yellow #2 pencils ever again. Kudos to BIC for another wonderful product! Very nice mechanical pencils

It has a sturdy lead that doesn't break easily if you are one to apply more pressure when writing than others (such as myself). The eraser works great and erases cleanly and with ease. The colors, in my opinion, are fantastic! They are bright (but not neon bright) and vibrant. There are an array of colors fitting for any gender as well. I love that it comes with the extra pack of lead, which is not very common in most mechanical pencil packs. These will be a go-to for my kids when school starts!

Great Pencil!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has been using these pencils to work in his summer workbooks. He has absolutely loved them so far! He tends to go through erasers pretty quickly, which has been an issue for other mechanical pencils that only have a small eraser. With these, I can at least replace the eraser and continue to use the pencil! I, personally, like to use mechanical pencils far more than a regular pencil because you don't need to sharpen it all the time. We will be purchasing these in the future.

Always Make Mistakes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we first received the Bic Velocity mechanical pencils in my kids weren't too excited. They finally used them and realized the packages come with extra erasers & they are thrilled. All the others I have purchased them in the past they had to smash a house top eraser on. The colors are fun and neon looking. My kids used them for awhile filling in their school papers & the led held up strong. Never once breaking off into small chips. As much as a pencil can be enjoyed my kids liked them.

Best pencils ever!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Can I just say awesome. These are really good pencils. They have a pen like feel which I love. One thing I run into is I break the lead to much when using a mechanical pencil but these dont. I guess it's how they are made. So just that alone makes me want to write with these all the time. My kids have also loveddd these. So they have won us over. So glad I got to try these.

A great Mechanical Pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I got my bzz kit with the Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils, my boys where ready to open them and use them. I got two packs of them and we love the colors they have. We opened one and tried them of course and they are great. They feel much more sturdy than other mechanical pencils and I love that they have a cap on the eraser. They write really smoothly and can be used on all the tests and in the classes they have because they are #2 pencils! I would recommend these to anyone.

True Colors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fun colors, you can't pick just one! Comfortable and soft to hold. Smooth writing and erases clean. Must have for the coming school year. I usually avoid mechanical pencils for a few reasons. I tend to put a lot of pressure on writing tools, so the lead usually breaks on me resulting in a lot of lost product. It also is hard to refill the pencils trying to fit the lead into the tiny hole. My concern is people will used to cheap mechanical pencils that can't be refilled which they're used to throwing away then they run out of lead The Bic Velocity mechanical pencils, I have not had a problem. The lead seems to be very sturdy, and has not broken on us. That is a major bonus because I really didn't like wasting the product, even if it was just little pieces. The lead writes really smooth, and does not smear. It is even when writing, not too dark or too light. It is very comfortable to hold. These are so durable that they should last for along time. They are great for any age person to use. I would definitely recommend these pencils.
