Fantastic new mechanical pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kids LOVE these new BIC velocity mechanical pencils. The cool colors let each child choose which color they want to claim: pink, red, green, yellow, blue. Five in each pack make it perfect to still have extras in the house for all your writing needs. The pencil grips helps keep little hand comfortable as they do ALL their school work. It's squishy as the kids say. The cap on the eraser gets thrown out as soon as they get their pencils because it's just in the way. These erasers on the tip erase cleanly so corrections are actually made verses having stray marks all over. To top off all the other great things about this pencil BIC provides extra #2 lead and erasers! Thank you so much Bic for the New velocity mechanical pencils. It helps make school more fun!

Seems the lead" is stronger and less likely to break repeatedly like the cheaper machanical pencils. The only thing I don't like is the clear eraser cover due out the fact that I place it down and have trouble finding it or knocking it off the counter."

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both of my kiddos have loved using the BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils for back to school. We've been back in school for three weeks now and can't say enough good things about these pencils! My kids have told me that these are their new favorite mechanical pencils and only want me to get these from now on. We've gone thru the lead like crazy as my younger daughter is an artist and is using them to sketch with. She also likes using them for her school work and all of her homework. They really do erase cleanly and the lead is a nice sharp color that shows up well. I am happy to have gotten the opportunity to share these with my kids. They are better than the other pencils that are out there from the lead to the eraser. My kids like being able to pick their favorite color out of them. They are proud to carry these around and school since they look like such a nice mechanical pencil. We will definitely buy more of these if they ever wear out. I'm definitely going to keep them stocked up with the lead. I loved how extra lead came with them. Great Pencils!

The lead is very sturdy and writes smoothly and the eraser is very clean and will not rub through the paper. These are so much better than the other ones on the market.

Also, I don't have to worry about pencil tips breaking off in my bag or the kids' backpacks. Another nice thing is they are in different colors so no arguing over which pencil belongs to which kid!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has been using the purple BIC mechanical pencil since the beginning of 6th grade this year. It is now the only pencil he uses at school because it doesn't have to be sharpened and the lead does not break. My son uses a lot of pressure on a pen or pencil when he writes and most mechanical pencil will break because they use the standard 0.5 mm leads. The BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils use a thicker 0.77mm lead that does not break as often as the normal lead. He also likes the clear plastic eraser lid, but wishes they were included in the lead and eraser refill package because he lost the lid at school. I had to use the lid from one of the other pencils to replace the one he lost.
