[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love mechanical pencils because who wants to stop writing just to get up and sharpen your pencil!? It's super easy to just click the top and keep writing and these Bic Velocity pencils take mechanical pencils to a whole new level. They come in 5 different colors that are bright and pretty so you can have a new pencil every day of the week. The top has a cap that keeps your eraser covered and safe from falling out. I love how comfortable the grips on these are because after writing for a while I usually get a cramped up hand, but these are soft and easy to hold even after a long writing period. The lead is really strong and doesn't break as easily as other mechanical pencils I've used so I don't feel like I'm wasting money by having it constantly break. I really like that these come with a little extra pack of lead and erasers. It's so rare to see pencils come with extra erasers and usually after you wear one out you're just out of luck but with these you can just toss out the worn down one and replace it with a fresh one! I love these pencils and I will definitely be buying more in the future! I received this product for free from BIC and BzzAgent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I finally used my BIC velocity mechanical pencils today. I'm doing a craft project and these are not your run of the mill pencils. They are super smooth and the grip is so soft and easy to hold. The eraser had a cool cap and it erases pretty clean. I was pretty excited to use them. Did I mention all the cool colors they come in? I can't wait to give a few to my older son. He loves a great pencil!!! #BICVelocity #GotItFree

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome--comfortable grip, works well, attractive design and fun colors that none-the-less don't look like anyone using them should also be using Lisa Frank stationary. I love that it comes with replacement erasers and lead.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My two teenager and myself (a teacher) are experts in mechanical pencils. These are awesome. The lead is strong and does not break. I've bought several mechanical pencils that write great but then randomly break because the lead is already broken inside the pencil. Another thing I love about these pencils.....replaceable lead AND erasers. I've purchased other pencils that come with extra lead. It is rare to find replaceable erasers. These pencils also have a nice grip. Have already repurchased!

Smooth writing, but not perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good pencil. It writes very smooth, refills easily, and has a good feel. The colors are also bright which makes the pencil look nice. The writing is better than most mechanical pencils I have tried, including other Bic, Zebra, and Cross brands. There is no drag as you are writing which I have found with other mechanical pencils. It does provide a very smooth writing experience free of those annoying scratching sounds some pencils make on paper. With that being said, good pencil, but would I buy it for myself or my child? I would buy it for myself because I keep up with things, but my children (ages 7 & 13) do not keep up with things and these pencils are about a $1.15 each (although they come in packages of 5) from my local box store. The price would have kept me from buying them so I am glad I received them free to try. Also, a pet peeve that I have is having a cap on the eraser. WHY??? Is it to keep the white eraser cleaner? Although, I do not know why it is there, I find it cumbersome to have a lid on the eraser. It seems the eraser could have been larger without the lid. I would chunk the lid, but the pencil looks funny without it, so I am still removing and replacing it after each error.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not one to usually use a mechanical pencil, but I found the Bic Velocity to be a great product. Other mechanical pencils (we have tried anything from store brands to Pentel to papermate ) do not write very dark and sometimes squeak when writing which sends chills down my spine. Other brands seem to break easily as well. Bic Velocity has a smooth, strong lead with minimal breakage and a great eraser. Other erasers just smear the marks around on the paper or it doesn't do a great job getting rid of the marks at all. Bic Velocity seemed to do the trick! Erasing marks couldn't be easier. It doesn't tear the paper or smear the writing! Just click, write and erase! My kids enjoyed the comfort grip and the bold colors. They both have quite a stash of mechanical pencils, but when they saw these, they had to grab a few to add to their collection. They were both impressed with how smoothly they write and wanted to get more!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pencil writes smoothly but doesn't erase completely. The cute colors and extra lead and erasers are a bonus.

Great Bic Velocity Pencils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have spoke to many of my friends and family about these new Bic velocity mechanical pencils. They write so easily at times I think that I am writing with a Uniball pen. The pencil is a #2 however, it writes darker and with much more fine lines. The ease of the writing is very appealing to us; as we have Ehlors Danlos Syndrome ( a connective tissue Disorder ) that courses great pain. This disorder can make writing painful when we need to clutch the pencil so tightly just to write with most pens and pencils. The connective tissues in the hands and wrist often can not take the added strain and pressure from the constant gripping and writing. During the summer I was researching varies things to help my daughter ( whom suffers with a sever case) get through the school year with all of the writing and dealing with the pain that comes with it. The velocity pencils have been a God send and a huge comfort for my daughter! These pencils have made doing her schoolwork much easier. The colorful barrels make the pencils more appealing and fun for the kids. Another great perk to these pencils is that the pencil erases clean and they have extra leads and erasers packaged with them. Unlike many other mechanical pencils if the bottom point is unscrewed by accident the lead doesn't fall out. The only downside is that the eraser side is whatever extends the pencil and seems to be a bit sensitive. This means that at times when erasing you may extend the pencil. We would recommend these to anyone and everyone.
