Not your mommas mechanical pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think these are pretty good. I gave some to my sons who started school and they love it. Back when I was going to school I hated the ones I was given. I also saved a few for myself. I gotta say - I see why my boys like it so much! It erases well and it writes well. I got significantly LESS lead on the side o my palm than when I was in school. I highly recommend these to anyone with kids or who uses pencils a lot.

This is probably a ridiculous reason to be so excited about these pencils, but I was so excited I decided to write a BzzReview about it. I tossed a couple of the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils in my purse the other day (My son is attempting to bogart them all - I'm not letting him), and I needed a pencil to start writing out the marketing list. So, I grabbed my purse (while my husband was offering me his pencil that he always has), and I grabbed my purse and opened it - and the pencil was RIGHT THERE, and I could tell exactly where it was because of the beautiful, lovely, bright color (I was so excited.). One quick click, and I was ready to go, and ready to write - I didn't have to mess around with getting the right point of lead out, with worrying with the eraser or the handhold, or anything, really - just pull it out, click, and I was ready to go. That's AMAZING for me. So, I'm definitely a fan.

Smooth Writing, but not a fan of the eraser!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the grip they put on this pencil and the lead writes smooth. However, when I go to erase or apply even a small amount of pressure, the lead comes out. It needs to have less sensitivity or a different place for the lead release. I don't like the cap on the eraser either, so I prefer to leave it off. But I do like the way the pencil feels when writing...both comfort and the lead.

This was a constant fight between the two of us on a daily basis. I told her I would let her use my cool new mechanical pencils if she did her packet. Not only did she do her packet everyday, she had fun doing because the lead didn't break easily and she thought the mechanical pencils colors were awesome. What I liked most is that I was not running out of lead every other time I used it. I press pretty hard when I write and usually go for a regular wooden pencil. Now this is my favorite pencil to use.

As a math teacher I buy tons of supplies needed for my classroom and for my own kids. For me, the pencil is one of the most important tool to have in the classroom. Normally I get both mechanical pencils as well as regular pencils because they have a mixture of preferences. The thing I like most about mechanical pencils is not only can you get number two lead, but you don?t have to worry about having a pencil sharpener around. As a classroom teacher, this is a big deal with 35 students. I got these BIC velocity mechanical pencils from BzzAgent and loved them the first time I used them. Not only is BIC a trusted brand, but also because it comes with extra lead and extra erasers! Can?t beat the value here! Plus they are colorful and have a soft comfortable grip. The thing with mechanical pencils is that they tend to write lightly, but Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils seem like they write darker and smoothly, and all my students can see what we are doing when I use my document camera. Also what I like about these is unlike other mechanical pencils the tip is metal rather than a cheap plastic that breaks! So they are durable enough to survive my students. I surly will buy these again year after year.
