My kids love them,and so do I. I like that the package came with extra lead and erasers. That's very helpful.

I've tried them myself, my older son has been using them at college and my younger son is taking them to school as well. These pencils look and feel like a pen when you are writing with them. The led is so smooth. I also love the colors of the exterior, fun and bright! These are a big hit with my older son who started college this week. He likes to use mechanical pencils to begin with but said these are definitely his new favorite. We will be getting more in the future and telling friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love these pencils! They write very smoothly. So much so that I don't mind drawing with them. My kids have been using them at school and have given them to their friends as well. They all like the cool colors and that the erasers erase very well. A lot of mechanical pencils have an issue with the lead going back inside when you begin to write, but so far these do not! We love the fact that their #2 pencils as well. My kids are hoping their teachers let them use them on standardized tests.

My kids also love the fun colors and have each picked out their favorites. Absolutely nothing wrong with these pencils. Not really a flaw, but I would love more of a variety of colors. My son wants a green :) *I received this product free from Bic in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had my two children age 13 and 11 try out BIC Velocity pencils. My 13 year old said she loves how she can easily grip the pencil. She says it writes smooth and erasers better then the standard BIC pencil. My 11 year old says he likes the cool colors best. But he also said his hand don't hurt well writting. My kids approval is worth spending the extra money.
