My son only uses mechanical pencils throughout the school year, so these are perfect for him. The look of these pencils is very stylish and cool. It comes in various bright colors. Orange is my favorite. It has a good grip, so your fingers won't get tired quickly. It writes so smooth and dark. The lead is a good size. It is not easy to break, and you don't have to worry about writing gently...this pencil can take it! It is strong! The eraser doesn't leave ugly marks, either. It also comes with a refill. As a BzzAgent, I received this for free from BIC in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good. I don't mind using these pencils. I don't usually use pencils at work, so I'm trying something new for this. I've been using them for 2 days. They write very clean and the lead seems very strong, it hasn't broken yet. I like the way the pencil itself feels, it's easy to hold and write with. I don't really like the eraser thus far, it's doesn't seem to erase cleanly. I am going to continue to use them and try a different pencil in the pack to see if maybe I just got a bum eraser on this one. I will be purchasing these for my son to use in school. He loves mechanical pencils and I think these would be great for him. I personally don't like 0.7mm/medium lead or ink and would prefer 0.5mm/fine but I think most people would like these. I will post another review after using the pencils for awhile longer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got my free pack of Bic Velocity mechanical pencils from Bzz Agent. I was very impressed with the multiple vibrant colors of each pencil in the package. I love the feel of the pencil itself, as it is quite comfortable, and not flimsy feeling. It does take a bit of a special touch to get used to a mechanical pencil. I kept breaking the lead off, as I was pressing to hard at first, but that was easily adjusted. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5 star rating was because I felt that the eraser was a bit inadiquit. Every time I used the eraser, a large part would get smaller quite quickly. I feel that it should either be larger of more sturdy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before this campaign I was not a fan of mechanical pencils reasons being: 1) The tip always broke 2) The grip always seemed to feel weird and would always give me a callus on my finger 3) The eraser would always run out and would have to buy a single eraser 4) They would write very light 5) Would always smudge 6) It never came with refillable anything So after trying Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils; they have fixed all of my issues I had with mechanical pencils: 1) Smooth and dark writing 2) Durable eraser 3) Refills for BOTH lead and eraser!!! - Amazing!!! 4) Soft grip and comfortable 5) The retractable tip helps the lead not break and gives it support while writing Love them!

The lead does not break easily like cheaper brands. The small carrying container makes it easy to throw in her pencil bag to have refills and back up erasers on hand.

With two school age kids in this house and two college students, we use our fair share of mechanical pencils. BIC Velocity Mechanical pencils are hands down our new favorite. The bzz kit came with 2 packs of pencils. Each pack with refillable lead and a generous stack of coupons. My 12 year old daughter loved the pretty colors and the smooth writing the pencils provided( she's an artist). She loved the pencils so much that she gave one to her best friend and shared coupons at school!!
