Great reliable pencils

Wow! Game changer for mechanical pencils

He has always been a fan of mechanical pencils but since getting these Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils he loves them even more. He likes all the colors and I enjoy the fact that when he erases he doesn't have to tear through the paper to get the writing off of it. He also says he thinks the lead is more durable then other mechanical pencils he has used in the past, although I still wish it were stronger and lasted better. Overall we are very pleased with these new products and will be buying more going forward.

I normally buy the expensive mechanical pencils because they last long. I would have never thought BIC Velocity would be a great mechanical pencil. So when I received these for free I thought why not give them a try plus I had my high schooler daughter try them as well. Let me say I love them! They write so smooth, they're easy to grip doesn't hurt my fingers when I write papers. Even the erasers work great and don't leave streaks. My daughter loves them as well and these are go to pencils now without a doubt. Thank you!

I also love that it comes with an extra tube of erasers and lead which also has a super cute design. My daughter is in high school and super picky about mechanical pencils" and also loved them. The eraser works really well and you have an extra eraser for each pencil. It's just an overall great product. I love these pencils."

A nearly perfect pencil

They are very bright so I can find them in my junk drawer, though I would love to see a bright green one since I am not a pink fan. I love, love LOVE that the metal portion of the tip retracts completely into the unit so I don't stab myself when searching my purse for a writing implement. I love the chunkiness of the grip and how dark and smooth it writes. I also really love that it comes with not only extra leads but extra erasers. I have thrown out numerous other brands of mechanical pencils because they had refillable leads but a fixed eraser and once that was worn down you either couldn't erase or had to carry around a separate eraser. The only think that could possible make these better is that I found the little indentation for your grip to be slightly too far up the pencil for my preference. I found my fingers settling a bit below this in the hollow at the far end by the tip which was still comfortable but didn't give quite as much control in my writing. This is a minor issue however and I would not give these up because of it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils are the best I have ever used. My father is a mechanical engineer, so growing up my father insisted we use this type of pencil to write with. So I am always on the look out for good mechanical pencils that are not too expensive. The bic velocity pencils write smooth with out breakage when pressing hard. I am music instructor and these are perfect for writing out musical notation.
