He enjoys they way they feel in his hand... how well they write and was excited that the lead lasted a long time. I am very excited to know he enjoys using these pencils because i know how much he will need to write as a freshman. I would have to say these pencils by far out last the same ole number 2 pencils.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This year my 6th grader supply list included mechanical pencils. Perfect timing for this Bzz campaign!! My son loves them. He says they are easy to write with them and when erasing , they erase good. I like that they seem to write a little darker because he tends to write softly and it was harder to see his writing last year. I like that there are extra lead and erasers in pack. Will continue to buy BIC products!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok so how great can a mechanical pencil be? It's made of plastic - check, it has an eraser- check and a seemingly endless supply of lead. So what makes the Bic Velocity so different than other pencils? It writes really smoothly and the plastic shaft has a soft rubber grip so it feels like a nice quality pen. Plus the package comes with replacement leads as well as extra erasers. One pack could last your kids the entire school year easily. These have become my go-to pencils. I absolutely love them!

My daughter in 5th grade and my 10th grade son brought these to school and they work really well. We had a little bit of a problem getting the eraser off to refill the lead, I was afraid to break something but my son just ripped the eraser off. lol They write well, and are fun to use. Very happy with them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to admit that I've been out of school for years and have rarely picked up a mechanical pencil since, but my son recently graduated from the wooden barrels to mechanical pencils. First off, I have to say that the lead is great--my son used to complain about the friction when using other leads. I do think that the best feature is the eraser--finally a pencil that erases as well as it writes! I am glad that my days of sharpening are behind me, and he loves the pop of color, especially his favorite blue BIC Velocity mechanical pencil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with these pencils. They are comfortable to write with, and they write very cleanly. My daughter loves them, too. She usually doesn't use mechanical pencils because she breaks the lead so easily, but these pencils are durable enough that she does not break the lead constantly. Having additional lead and erasers is definitely a plus as well!

I am in nursing school and I prefer the neatness, the lead strength. I have always used bic mechanical pencils. I'm glad they have continued to keep their quality.
