Great for School and Work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With mechanical pencils it seems you can't have a good pencil for a cost effective price. You either pay $5 or $6 dollars a pencil or you have to treat them as disposable. The new BIC Velocity mechanical pencil is the cost effective quality product I have been waiting for. The features make the BIC Velocity good for me and good for my children at school. The lead is .7 and can be used on standardized tests. This also means it writes well for note taking and the lead doesn't break all the time. There is a grip cushion that helps prevent calluses on your writing finger as well. This is an excellent pencil for my children and I.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils were received at our house with excitement. School has officially started and no more cheap mechanical pencils for us. The Bic Velocity Pencils are much stronger and more durable which makes them a great addition to the school supply list. They last longer and can stand up to be shoved in a pencil case or at the bottom of a backpack.

The lead on these does not break easily like other brands. Plus, the soft grip does not hurt his hand, which allows him to write longer. There is a smooth glide when writing, and errors are easily deleted. We love these pencils!

Good and Gone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I opened my first package to try out these new pencils. I should have known to try it without my kids nearby. I started by drawing and testing out the lead quality. I'm not an artist, but I'm rather good at drawing eyes. I liked how detailed I could get with the pencil. Then I drew several lines of varying darkness to test out the eraser. I began to erase each line, half way across. The lightest lines were absolutely no issue, but then again, I expected that. As I got to the darkest lines, I was ready for the usual smears and leaving behind of the line. But each line erased just as the lighter lines had done. Once I finished all the lines to the half way point, I proceeded to go in the opposite direction and erased the remaining lines from the darkest to lightest. Again the lines disappeared and the eraser didn't leave any smudges (my biggest pet peeve). I said that I should have tried these while the kids were at school, because as I sat down to try them out, I was instantly surrounded (every time I get a box I'm surrounded). Then all started pulling out pencils to try them out. I was left with the pencil I had in my hand. The rest were dibbed" out."

I love using these pencils when i am writing down a list or if i am just writing my kids a note easy to use and i love the colors and the feel of them.
