Excellent writing / Drawing Tool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From my own personal experience with this new BIC Velocity Mechancial Pencil to everyone I buzzed to (who also tried it courtesy of BzzAgent!) gave it a 5-star rating. Me, personally, loved the grip and the feel of it in my hand. It wrote smooth and erased clean. the last pencil I used, (standard yellow #2), paled in comparison. I love the fact they are re-fillable and that this pack came not only with the addt'l lead, but erasers too! What pencils I kept will last me a long time, which in and of itself, is a great thing! The other points of note, were the colors (fun for the little ones) and the fact the lead did not seem to break instantly when you begin to use it. All in all, a great tool!!

She was delighted to find the eraser under the little plastic cap and how well it fixed her mistakes. I was pleased that BIC Velocity pencils fit so nicely in her small hands making it easy for her to control.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the fact I was given 2 packs of these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils as I use them daily at work and even sometimes over the weekend for a part-time job I have. My kids love mechanical pencils so they were also stoked to get their own pack to try out. I like the feel of the pencil and you don't have to press down so hard to get a good delivery. My only issue is, once the lead gets down to 3/4 through when you try to press the lead forward the lead continues to move so you lose the crisp look. I usually then just remove the smaller lead stick and start anew. It also does erase pretty well, but I usually forget to remove the plastic covering-DOH! Most mechanical pencils don't offer the cover for the eraser.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 5 kids and 4 of them are in school, so there are a lot of pencils floating around my house. All 4 of them (ages 8, 10, 12 , 16) liked the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils when they first used them at home. I asked them to try them out at school an come back and report to me how they held up over the school day. It was unanimous! All 4 kids liked these BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils so much that they asked me to purchase more for the school year. Here's what they all agreed on: they were comfortable to use all day long, erased well, drew smoothly, the eraser stayed clean (bonus), the eraser didn't wear down quickly after a few uses, and they liked the bright colors. My 8 year-old son thought it was cool that it looked like a pen. My 12 year-old daughter said that she liked that the lead inside the pencil was easy to see through the pencil cylinder, making it easy to know when she will need to refill in the future. My 16 year-old will often get calluses and she said that the BIC Velocity didn't bother her fingers at all during a day's use (That was a relief to her!). The only complaint came from my 10 year-old daughter as she said that she lost the clear eraser cap after the first time she used it as it rolled off her desk. That wasn't a deal breaker for her though. All kids have seen the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils at their school as other students have been using them too! Must be a hit with everyone! Below is a photo of my 12 year-old. She is ALWAYS using the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lead writes dark but earses Luke it was never there. I love the extra lead and extra earasers the colors are bright a cute and my children love they can each have a different color. They write smooth and are easy to grip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughters both prefer mechanical pencils to regular pencils. They like that they don't need sharpening. My artist daughter loves the fine line, that the pencil doesn't go blunt like a regular wood pencil. They are always losing their sharpener, so not needing one is a bonus! the girls like the pretty colors and how the lead feels on the paper. My oldest said that the eraser did leave marks behind so that could be better. The finger grip was comfortable and did not feel bulky when using. It allows for better control of the pencil. For my youngest who struggles with writing, having a pencil not be the issue is a huge win for me!
