Who would have thought

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Who would have thought a mechanical pencil would just make my day! I must confess...I love mechanical pencils. I always have and always will. I love how the lead is always sharp and the eraser seems to erase so cleanly. Well, the BIC Velocity is no different only now the bar has been raised. This pencil is wider than usual. It seems more like the grip of a pen. I love the built in grip and how sturdy it feels. It doesn't feel like that cheap material that will eventually flake off. Now for writing...oh my, it was so smooth. I don't know if the lead is any different, but there was such a different feel to this pencil. I never felt like the lead was getting ready to snap if I accidentally pressed down too hard on my paper. This pencil is awesome! I will admit...I kept one for myself and gave the rest of the pack to my daughter as she starts school.

We're always looking for pencils that they 1) don't need to sharpen 2) lead doesn't break easily 3) writes smoothly 4) is comfortable to use. I'm happy to say that this pencil fits 3 out of our 4 needs! My girls loved the bright colors, the ease of use and the smooth feel of writing. The only small issue they had was with the barrel - they wished that it was just a bit more cushioned. However, it isn't so uncomfortable that they can't use it, so the BIC pencils are packed into their pencil pouches and they are ready for the new school year!

Even better? The fantastic colors and smoothness that these BIC velocity pencils offer! I LOVE them. There are no draw-backs to these pencils. How does it work for a left handed person?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the comfort grip on the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencils is so comfortable. I'm a left handed person so comfort is hard to find. I also like that I can still write without problem on uneven surfaces. I don't have to press hard to get the pencil to work. The cap over the eraser is a nice feature as well as in the past I've lost erasers using other brands of mechanical pencils. I always am curious about how comfortable a pencil is for a left handed person, and after using this my answer is it works great!
