Good line of writing instruments

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are good, well made pencils. They feel great in your hand and not a wimpy, brittle barrel. Lead is easy to replace as are the erasures. Personally I like the side click over the top click, but that is just personal preference. I like the colors, easy to find in my bag or on the desk! My son's like them although they like the top click over the side. All in all they write easily, change the lead easily, they erase well and don't rip the pages. All in all it is good, minus one star because the tops are a little hard to remove.

I'm extremely impressed with the strength of the lead. The lead doesn't just break off while writing. And it doesn't just go back up into the pencil. I especially like the fact that with these pencils you can use the lead until the very last. It doesn't just quit working at half the lead like most mechanical pencils. Very very nice!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With school right around the corner, my son was excited when he saw the BIC Mechanical Pencils in the mail! They come in beautiful colors! So we have been testing these pencils out! I have been using BIC for years and have used a lot of mechanical pencils in my day but these, I have to say are my hands down favorite! They write smoother and the lead is darker. But the fact they have a lot of lead and comes with an extra eraser for all 5 pencils in the package is great, especially when you have a son who can be pretty hard on them! But my favorite thing about these is the built in grip! These mechanical pencils are so easy to hold onto! My son and I will enjoy these! My daughter will also get great use as she in college now! ?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been over a month and the BIC Velocity Mechanical Pencil is still the choice my children use at school and at home. The mechanical pencils have lasted this long and have not had to buy replacements. The lead still writes smoothly after a long period of use. The lead is strong and does not easily break I have not had to replace the lead as often with pervious brands. The easers do not smudge when erasing maintaining the paper clean and presentable. I still use it for school work as well and I even added it to use at work. The mechanical pencil is still a hit with the family!

I am an auditor so I work with numbers all day (so the eraser comes in handy - LOL!) I try to keep colorful office items on my desk to brighten up my space and these fit the bill. They are easy to use, and even came with lead refills. Plus I don't have to irritate my cube-mates by running the electric pencil sharpener since these are always on point. Today I was waiting for a meeting to begin and a coworker leaned over to ask about my awesome pink pencil. She mentioned it was almost time to buy back to school supplies and her daughters would love the purple and pink ones. Of course I told her that I got them for free as a BzzAgent and gave her a couple of coupons to pick up her own set.( I think I may have recruited a new agent too! :))

We are a family who does not use wooden pencils for anything, so we go through a lot of mechanical pencils. The BIC Velocity pencils are some of our favorites. They have a .7 lead, so are less prone to breakage than other pencils we've used in the past. It's also great that they write very smoothly. The package comes with both replacement lead and replacement erasers. This makes it a great value as well. As a Mom who has purchased a lot of mechanical pencils, I would highly recommend the BIC Velocity.
