[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I opened a pack as soon as I received them and placed them in my pencil jar on the desk in our kitchen. The first one to notice them was my college student. She said wanted to know what they were and if she could take them to school with her. I had already tried them and grabbed a few packs at the store. I told her I had already taken care of it and she has a pack to take back to her dorm with her. Next was my husband. He loves his crossword puzzles and commented on how these were the first pencils not to leave little pieces of lead on the table from breaking while he worked on his puzzles. Last was my youngest. She was starting her rough draft for her summer assignment and loved the pencil. I noticed it ended up in her room, and told her she gets a pack of her own for school. These are a hot at our house.

Bonus for the fact that they are sturdy and refillable and come in fun colors.

My little guy is really excited with his new BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils. He loves drawing so he is using them all the time. And now that the school is back he is a great opportunity for him to show his new BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils at his class.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find myself using the BIC Velocity pencils everyday. I like mechanical pencils that are easy to grip which is why I love these pencils. The packages also come with lead so I don't have to buy it as often. I also find that certain stores will sometimes put these pencils on sale or BIC will put a coupon in the paper. These pencils are defininately worth buying!

Writes nice & comfortable to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not normally a mechanical pencil user, I prefer to use regular pencils, so I enlisted the help of my middle school son who uses them frequently. We compared the writing & ease of use of the new BIC velocity as well as a normal BIC mechanical & regular #2 pencil. What we found was that they all write very well, they are clear to read & make clean crisp lines. We did prefer the comfort & feel of the BIC velocity over the normal BIC & my son especially liked the lid that covers the eraser on the new BIC velocity. However he much prefers the way the old normal BIC mechanical pencil is refilled with led over the velocity. In the normal BIC the plastic top comes off & led is filled underneath, in the new velocity he has to actually remove the eraser & put the led in under it & then push the eraser back into the top. Over time as the eraser gets lower it gets difficult to get ahold of to pull out & refill with led. Plus having to pull it out often can result it in breaking or not wanting to stick back into it's place properly. I received this pack for free, however had I had to pay full price it would have been $3.64 for a 4 pack, which was more than many other mechanicals.

Love These Pencils

They love that they always have a pencil to write with that is not broken when they pull it out of their pencil pouch. My daughter loves the bright colors too. They split the packs between them and took them to school on the first day. The pencils look great and the erasers work well too if they make a mistake.

As always, BICU erasers are clean. I also enjoyed the fact that the extra erasers and lead were included in the package. Making the product have longer use.
