[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I was asked to try out the BICÆ VelocityÆ Mechanical Pencils I thought how can a pencil be different from any other? Well, they can be. The lead feels very superior as does the actual materials used to make the pencil and grip. The colors are fantastic also (my favorite is the pink in the attached picture). The white eraser leaves no smudges on your work which is great for someone that is OCD about their papers being clean looking. I also liked that they came with a canister of replacement leads and erasers. There is not one thing about these pencils I can complain about.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Bic Velocity Pencils are one of the best mechanical pencils I have tried. I usually don't use mechanical pencils due to they are very skinny. The Velocity Pencils look and feel like a pen which I really like so I keep one with my calendar so I can erase any errors instead of marking out with a pen. My daughter loves these pencils she has been using them for school daily. She was telling me the other day that we will need to purchase her some more lead for her mechanical pencils because she has been using all the lead in the package. I am glad she is enjoying the mechanical pencils as much as I am.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love Bic Velocity pencils , The lead is so smooth you barely even know you are writing, The lead has not snapped on me or the kids and is one tough pencil. The grip is perfect and doesn't give you blisters like a pencil would . The eraser works great and is very tough, doesn't bend or snap off I am very happy with these and look forward to using them daily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 15 year old daughter is very (VERY) picky when it comes to pencils. School was rough when she was younger because she hated the 'old-fashion' #2 pencils. Once she got old enough to use 'real' (aka. mechanical) pencils it was better but she was just as picky. She finally found a type she liked. But, they were pricey. $5 for a pack of 2. In my opinion, that's a bit pricey for pencils. When I was selected for this campaign, I didn't get my hopes up. She comes home one evening to do her homework and I toss her one of these pencils. She comes downstairs mid-homework wanting to know where I got the pencils. They are smooth, fit nicely in her hand and don't 'scratch' when writing. Needless to say, $5 for 2 pencils will be a thing of the past. She loves the fun colors and that the packs came with extra lead and erasers. She also likes the durability of the lead, the thickness of it writing and that it doesn't leave a dirt mark when erasing. 5* + from this kiddo.

The writing is smooth and the pencils are comfortable to hold. They come in fun colors that my kids enjoyed. The eraser is awesome. It erases smoothly and completely. I overall enjoyed using these pencils and so did my kids. Because of the great quality, I fell these pencils will last a long time.

My 2 boys (ages 7 and 10) press down on their pencils when they write and I try and never let them use the mechanical pencils as the lead always breaks. It was just a waste of money. But I was overly surprised when I had them try these. The big bonus is the thickness of the lead, it definitely takes a lot more to break the lead before clicking for another new one. The comfort of use on the pencils was impressive as well. I am very impressed on how far something so simple has come along. Well done Bic!

Right away they were excited with the bright colors and quality of these mechanical pencils. They seem a lot more durable then the other Bic pencils. Also love the they come with extra lead. Comfortable to write with and a great upgrade. Will definitely recommend to other school shopping parents.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well I decided to put these mechanical pencils to the ultimate test. So I sent a few to school with the kids and I took some to work with me. I have to say the reviews with co-workers and from the kids have been nothing short of positive. The kids say they are very easy to use and re-load with the led and the cap on the top of the eraser makes it feel more like a pen to them and they really like that. My co-workers like the ease of use as well as how great it writes and re-loads with lead. Overall these are great, stylish mechanical pencils and we will be purchasing them again in the future when they are needed.
