[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencils are the best mechanical pencils my family and I have used. They look more like a pen than a pencil and they come in bright colors. I like that the tip looks more like a pen to keep the lead from breaking and the lead erases easily.

They write extremely smoothly and are very comfortable to hold. We homeschool and so we go through pencils like crazy! All 4 of my kids loved switching to these pencils. The included extra lead and erasers was a huge bonus. The only problem we had with them was the clip breaking off, but that doesn't really affect the pencil's use at all for us.

I have used mechanical pencils for a long time I was really pleased with the bright colors of these pencils. The grip on the pencil is great for writing and taking notes it is so comfortable. The writing of the pencil is so smooth I am really pleased with these mechanical pencils.

He was excited to show them to his friends on the first day of school and he uses them there and at home for his homework. I also use them at work and at home and I find that they are reliable, easy to write with, they make my handwriting nice by the way the pencils fit comfortably in my hand. I think these are appealing to kids because of the bright colors and I actually feel the same as an adult. The lead is easy to erase and the eraser doesn't leave streaks across the paper. Overall, I really like these Pencils and willl continue to use them... and replace them as my son loses them or loans them out at school!

They stood out in comparison to other mechanical pencils. The kids were able to write smoothly with the pencil and the lead was not prone to breaking like other brands we have tried. It is a good, sturdy pencil. Erasing was typical for what we have seen with other pencils.
