This is a small unit for casual use. It locks but it isn't heavy and could be carried away whole if someone had the mind. But it opens smoothly and silently fits hanging files and is a perfectly adequate file cabinet.

Drawer pull out length

The door only opens enough to get to half of your files. To view or retrieve files beyond halfways you need to stick your hand in and pull forward. Also you can only have one drawer open at a time. Otherwise it will tip forward. (if you have each drawer to capacity) If your storing/filing your own small personal docs its for you. I do not recommend for small business and up daily filing needs.

The extra drawer at the top is great for file tabs and markers. Everything in one place!

This small file cabinet is the perfect size for my study. Easy to install the handles. Very attractive too.
