This this is awful. The shelf tracks are cheap and plastic. Of you put more than a pillow in the drawer the track will slip and the drawer will become wedged. You'd be better off lighting your money (or files) on fire than dealing with this pile of crap. Staples should be embarrassed they sell something so cheap and worthless. Spend the extra $20 on a better one with ball bearing tracks as Office Max. They'll ship to your door for free too.
I loaded the bottom drawer with files and it fell off its guide. I then realized the drawer guides are plastic. It would not bear the weight of a drawer full of files. Imagine that. A filing cabinet that won’t hold files. I had to return it.
This is the cheapest file cabinet ever. no key for lock cannot open drawers fully except bottom drawer. waited two weeks to get it.Staples could come and get with a decent two drawer.Would not recommend
You get what you pay for. I sincerely don't understand the mechanics of this cabinet and I'm an engineer! The drawers fall of their rails with the slightest movement. The stoppers at the end of the drawer prevent it from being opened if there's any amount of weight in the drawer. I am going to keep the unit just because I basically never do any filing just put important papers in it once every couple months (major purchases life events etc). But yikes...do not purchase this if you actually want to do filing on the regs.
I would have expected that when a drawer is full it would constantly fall off of the rack that holds the drawer. the racks should have been made wider so that the drawers could roll in and out with ease.It feels and wiggles like tin.It is annoying when opening and closing drawers.
