Sliding mechanism is the absolute cheapest design and will not hold up to being weighted down by simply using it the way it is supposed to be use - to hold files. I believe after several days of supporting the weight of my files the drawers did not maintain their structure and I could not even slide open the drawers. Good example of you get what you pay for. Now the file cabinet I got could have been defective in some way but I could not return it since the return policy expired before the drawer mechanism failed which was only a couple weeks after purchase.

Drawers do not extend but a little over half way. Plastic drawer guides. Not a good product at 1/10th the price.DO NOT RECOMMEND

Good cabinet overall. Roller for drawers are mediocre at best unable to hold weight of hanging files and open and close effortlessly. Staples representative tried offering additional warranty protection at additional cost stating that the rollers were substandard and it would be a good investment in the event that a replacement was needed. This recommendation was based on the history of prior sales of this product.

Quality was not what I was hoping for. I need something much more sturdy. I have to go to the store and look...too hard to find the right one on line

The drawers broke in a couple weeks. They started to get stuck and eventually didn’t open up anymore. I will never buy from staples again.
