The cabinet is not heavy but very steady when you open and close it. Also the drawers move in and out very smoothly and quiet. The drawer depth is perfect for the maximum amount of files that I needed it for. Excellent quality for a very good price! Tried to buy this and other office furniture at Stillwater store- close to home. I asked the cashier to get me help. She paged twice overhead but no one showed after 20 minutes. I went back to the cashier and asked she page me some help . She did but again no one showed to help me after waiting another 20 minutes . I could see workers standing areoun and I bet there were only 4 customers in the store at the time . I left. Next day went to Staples at Tulsa Hills . Jordan met me at the door and was so helpful answered my questions . Jordan knows all about customer service and helping his customers. Stillwater staples customer service is terrible . I will not use them again . I will gladly drive over to Tulsa for better customer service .

3-Drawer Vertical File Cabinet

We were very impressed with the depth of the top drawer which holds large desktop tape dispensers and a variety of other rather large desktop items. The drawers are very smooth on their rails. The only assembly required is screwing on the three door handles which takes less than 10 minutes. This is not a heavy file cabinet as it uses light steel construction and yet provides ample support for filled drawers of heavy files. The charcoal grey color blended in nicely with our computer desk. We were also impressed with Staples quick replacement of the first file cabinet that appeared to be damaged in shipment. One day later we received the replacement cabinet and a prepaid label via email to easily return the damaged unit. I would highly recommend this file cabinet.

drawers only open 3/4 way have to pull front files out to access ones at rear.

Runners broke almost immediately

Poor quality. The runners broke almost immediately after purchasing which made it extremely hard to open or close either drawer because of the alignment. Eventually I just took out the drawers and put them on a bookshelf. Would not recommend.
