While advertised to remove cleanly and damage free, in tiny print on back of package it says 3M will not be responsible for any damage arising from this product whether direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential. My beautiful dining room now looks terrible. I used the hook to hold a 1 lb wreath over the holidays. I pulled the rubber thing out, but this still happened. I'm guessing the top part of the tape must have become permanently glued to the wall. All instructions were followed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does hold 5 pounds

I used these in my classroom and the VERY light backpacks (no books only a lunch, a water bottle and a folder) kept breaking the hooks. The most frustrating part is the strip and bracket are fine but the hooks broke. Sadly, the hook can not be replaced. Please fix this so replacement hooks are available. Our planet doesn't need excess waste.

Fabulous product for organizing spaces

I have to say that I really love command products and these large utility hooks are no exception. I purchased several to put in all my closets in our apartment that doesn’t have much storage. I love them and not one has fallen down - I found that if you follow the directions closely you will be ok.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed with "Re-Use"

I purchased several large hooks for Christmas decorating. One was placed on the inside of our front door and held up very well last year (I actually forgot about it until Easter time!) displaying one of my favorite decorations. Unfortunately, this year when I applied the same hook with replacement "tape", it fell after a week, so I re-applied the tape and the second time it only made it two days. Why????

No adhesive

I previously bought several hooks and they have been working well. Today I purchased 3 large utility hooks (white) to hang 3 empty purses. I prepped the wall as directed but when I peeled off the red liner, there was NO feeling of stickiness. None, absolutely none. Just to see, I lifted a small corner of the black liner - not sticky at all.

Horrible purchase. Do not trust them to hold.

Absolutely worthless. I bought several of these hooks to hang a few Christmas decorations around my house of various size, however significantly lower weight that what the hook is rated. Every one of my decorations fell off the wall within a week. These absolutely will not stick to my walls which are textured and painted. Worst case I had a 1.2 lb sign on a 4lb hook and it fell off the wall. It damaged both my decoration which has a section of wood broken off, as well as my baseboard trim which has a large chunk missing out of it as well. Do not buy these if you care about your stuff! Deserves zero stars
