Horrible Smell!!!

If I could give this soap a "0" star rating I would. I have been using the old version forever and bought 4 new containers of the new stuff. The smell is horrible and irritates my nose and gives me a headache. I could use the old version without any issues as the smell was light. I even would buy the old stuff to put in my in-laws bathroom so I could wash my hands without a "smelly" soap! This new stuff is disgusting. I won't be buying softsoap anymore.

Terrible smell

I've used this soap for years and been a happy customer until now. That all ended with the horrible new 'scent". I can't imagine the rationale behind this change but the smell is very unpleasant, overpowering and long lasting. Sorry to say, I'll be using a different product going forward.

HORRIBLE SMELL - BEWARE -THEY HAVE ADDED FRAGRANCE

OMG IT STINKS - I HAVE BEEN USING THE SS ALOE VERA FOR YEARS BECAUSE IT DIDN'T HAVE ANY ADDED FRAGRANCE AND WITH ALL MY ALLERGIES, IT WAS THE ONLY LIQUID HAND SOAP I COULD USE.....WE BUY BIG BOTTLE AND FILL OUR AUTOMATIC DISPENSERS. HUBBY BOUGHT SOME AND FILLED THE KITCHEN DISPENSER LAST WEEK. I PUT MY HAND UNDER, SOAP CAME OUT AND HORRIBLE SMELL. HAD TO REWASH HANDS WITH SCENT FREE LAUNDRY SOAP TO GET RID OF SMELL OFF MY HANDS.....LOOKED UNDER SINK, GRABBED BOTTLE AND IT NOW SAYS "FRESH SCENT" UGH......DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE ALLERGIES TO SCENTS, HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE ASTHMA, OTHER BREATHING PROBLEMS AND CANNOT USE SCENTED PRODUCTS - YOU HAD SUCH A GOOD PRODUCT AND YOU RUINED IT BY ADDING "FRESH SCENT" TO IT - NOW I HAVE TO SEE IF SOME OTHER COMPANY IS AWARE OF THE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WITH FRAGRANCE ALLERGIES, ASTHAMA AND OTHER BREATH PROBLEMS AND HOPEFULLY SOMEONE MAKES A FRAGRANCE FREE LIQUID HAND SOAP - I DO HAVE A BAR SOAP THAT IS "FF" THAT I USE IN BATHROOM, BUT DON'T LIKE BAR SOAP IN KITCHEN OR GUEST BATHROOMS

The new fragrance is awful

We used and loved the Softsoap Soothing Aloe Vera formula for many years. Alas, Softsoap appears to have replace our much loved soap formula with the Soothing Clean formula. The "new fresh" aloe vera fresh scent is perfectly awful and is putting me off buying any more softsoap. Please bring back the old formula and I will happily go back to buying and using Softsoap, but I don't like the new fragrance nor your specialty sweet fragrances.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

PARTING IS SUCH SWEET SORROW FAREWELL SOFTSOAP

Me and my entire family have always used soft soap products faithfully. However, we noticed the last time we purchased this product we got the two large refills of the original scent and I must say it made us ill. I kept trying to figure out what the horrible smell was as it was making me sick to my stomach. Then my sinuses went crazy. My entire household allergies was messed up. All we could smell was some kind of strong perfumey like scent. We had to get this item out of our house. We tried to give it to some people but everyone refused as they say the product has changed for the worse and they did not want it. I ended up giving it to VA. The thing is we loved the product before and could not be without it, now we never want to see or smell it again. Please change the product back to it's original formula. It use to smell so good. Until, it is no one in my family or friends say they will buy it again. We also use other products as well of yours but who knows you are probably going to change those too so we had better get prepared to start looking else where for those as well. Why can't companies just leave things alone. If it is not broke stop trying to fix them because you are just making it worse. Thanks for all the previous wonderful years we enjoyed using your products. A once upon a time loyal customer but not any more.

Scent too strong now

I've used this Aloe Vera for as long as they've made it. Always bought the big refills. Never any issues. It always had a very light scent that went away quickly. I bought two new pumps of this today, and I cannot use it. The scent is so strong. Why do these manufacturers think that having strong, lingering scents is what everyone wants? So you wash your hands, then have to apply lotion, and you get a horrible, horrible mix of scents. I'm now looking for a pump soap that is gentle and NOT scented. I won't waste money on trying different types of Softsoap. Pretty sure they are all over scented.

This hand soap stinks

We have been using Soft soap Soothing Aloe Vera hand soap for many years and loved it. It was great for our sensitive skin and sensitivities to perfumes/scents. Our hands were not dried out by using this soap. Imagine our reaction when we used this new aloe vera fresh scent hand soap. It is very irritating to our skin, our hands are so dry and the scent is very irritating to our allergies. My husband thinks it smells like popcorn! Unless we can find the old formula, we will not be buying soft soap hand soap again. Please note that, other scents are not an option as they are just as bad as the new fresh scent. Please bring back the original formula Aloe vera soothing hand soap!!!

I had exclusively bought this hand soap for many years because I am very sensitive to the smell of most other brands. I bought softsoap it in bulk during the pandemic. I wish I had stocked up on the old original formula. This new formula is TERRIBLE! The smell lingers on your skin and it is nauseating!
