New Scent Too Strong

What have you guys done?! You've changed a classic. And from the reviews it looks like you changed my backup (milk and honey) too. This scent is WAY too strong, and it isn't all that pleasant. The product (as well as the milk and honey one) were great just as they were. Many people can't handle strong scented products, and for those who can tolerate them, many of us don't want them. Whose decision was this? It was a monstrously bad one. Please change it back. (Before we all switch to another brand that understands the value of little to no scent.)

Bring back old (unscented) formula

This rating is for the new fragrance. The old non-scented aloe Vera was our favorite hand soap, and it deserved 5-stars. We used it every day for the last 21 years at least, and it was very gentle on my hands and we enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t smelly. My husband suffers from severe allergies to strong scents, and now because you changed the formula of this soap, he can no longer use it. The added fragrance was unnecessary and now I find that it’s drying my hands out after only 2 days of using it. I’m so disappointed that this product was changed! Please bring back the old Aloe Vera soap without the nasty new fragrance!

New scent is too strong for those with allergies.

This aloe vera scented liquid hand soap was perfect with moisturizers and light scent. Recently when both my sister and I who have allergies to fragrances, purchased the aloe vera the bottle shows 'fresh scent', but unfortunately the scent is too strong for either of us to continue to use. In looking at other reviews it appears that there are many people who feel the same way. There are enough other scents of Softsoap for those without allergies to choose from, so we are not sure why a stronger fragrance had to be added to this product. Unfortunately, we have had to stop purchasing your brand of hand soap.

Horrible strong perfume smell

What have you done? I used this soap because it's one of the few that doesn't dry out my hands. There used to be a subtle and soothing scent. Now there's a strong artificial perfume smell that's very unpleasant. Who thought this was a good idea? Why would you change something that people already liked? It's not like there was a huge demand for stronger scents. Please change it back. Many people are sensitive to strong scents. I can't recommend this soap anymore unless this is fixed.

Changed Formula! Smells Terrible and Skin Drying!

I used to use the original Softsoap Soothing Aloe Vera; HOWEVER, they changed it to Soothing Clean Aloe Vera Fresh Scent "New Fragrance" with a different label. However, they are using the good reviews for the original product for the new fragrance. The new fragrance smells terrible! I have allergies and I had no problems with the original aloe vera Softsoap. I now have allergy symptoms only after using the new fragrance/formula once! Whoever your fragrance testers are need to be fired! Please bring back the original Soothing Aloe Vera and either stop making or rename the new fragrance Soothing Clean Aloe Vera Fresh Scent. So disappointed. Way to mess up a good thing!

Terrible strong scent

So sad they changed this soap. My family has used the aloe hand soap for years! Mild on your skin and the scent was mild as well. It has a terrible strong perfume smell that stays on your hands now. The new design is cheesy looking as well. It's like they went backwards and took it from mild scented and clean looking packaging to cheap and trashy smelling and looking. Sad that after all these years I have to search for something new.

Why ruin a great product??

Our family has used the previous versions of this hand soap for YEARS, and all the way through the Covid pandemic. So mild and non-drying, no lotion has been necessary with all the extra hand washing, amazing! Always wanted to use as a face wash for that reason, had it been fragrance free I would have. Brought the new version to a hotel last week, was overwhelmed with the new scent, it filled the room and lingered, smelled like the hotel’s cleaning supplies. Did not use long enough to test the mildness. My point- every product in this day and age should sell a fragrance free version (not “unscented,” fragrance free.) If you can produce so many “flavors,” at least offer that.
