New formula is HORRIBLE and smells HORRIBLE

My job purchases this soap for the employees and I’ve also bought it myself for the house; this new scent for Aloe is DISGUSTING and leaves my hands DRY!!! Old formula smelled wonderful and was the main reason I bought it. If it’s NOT broken then DON’T fix it. Bring back the original….PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! B

Awful new scent

We have been using soft soap products for YEARS in our family. Like many others, I appreciated the gentle scent. Unforutanately we are sensitive to perfumes and this new formula is very strong for us. We will have to move on to a new product/brand. I'm not sure why a lot of these companies feel the need to change an already great product. I would love to have the old scent back!

Awful Smell

I've bought your aloe vera soap for 25 years and cannot no longer buy it because of being allergic to the new fragrance. I've had to go to the inconvenience of ordering online from stores in the hopes of finding the old formula. By changing to a new fragrance you have risked people's health with asthma and allergic reactions. I've read your feedback on other customer reviews telling people to buy your other fragrant soaps. That's not how perfume sensitivity works. We risk going to the doctors with trying new fragrances. The smell is so bad my mom and sister couldn't tolerate it. Extremely bad PR move with making a fragrance stronger. Clearly no user testing or customer persona research was done.

Bring back the original

DISAPPOINTED! Shame on you Softsoap, Colgate-Palmolive. I have been a loyal customer of Soothing Aloe Vera since the late 1990's. The new formula change is terrible. The original version had a nice light fresh scent barely noticeable. It left my hands clean, fresh and soft even with frequent use. The new formula is drying to my hands and the fragrance on the updated version is way too perfumey and smells bad. I am talking headache inducing fragrance. My husband and I both have sensitivies to strong odors so I will no longer be purchsing this. I do not understand why a company changes a great product so drastically and risks alienating their loyal customers.
Whose terrible idea was this to change something that has been around for so long. Based on other reviews I would guess you have lost many loyal users. Please bring back the original scented Soothing Aloe Vera Softsoap. Please bring back the Softsoap that left your hands feeling soft and clean.

You ruined a perfectly good product. I cannot stand your new formula. I've used the old one for over 20 years. Why would you change it and permanently lose all of your customers? Everyone hates it. Believe your reviews. You've been ratio'd.

Overpowering Fragrance-Can't Use Due to Allergies!

The Soothing Clean replaced the beloved Soothing Aloe Vera Moisturizing Hand Soap which I have used for years and loved it. I have allergies (which include to fragrance) and had no problems while using it. You replaced it with the Soothing Clean version which smells terrible! The fragrance is overwhelming! Many friends used the original Aloe Vera version due to it not having an overpowering smell and left hands feeling moisturized and not stinking! I couldn't stand to smell my hands after using the Soothing Clean version and hoped I wouldn't have an allergic reaction to it! I actually threw the bottle away. Now I wish I would have returned it for a full refund! Whoever decided the sticky version was better than the Soothing Aloe Vera Moisturizing version should be fired!

Goodbye stinky Softsoap

For the life of me I cannot understand why they would change something so many love but the new Aloe Vera is awful, and I will not buy Softsoap again. So many other options for hand soap and by companies that don't figuratively spit in their PAYING customers faces. Is Softsoap owned by the same company that owns TIDE???
