Fail!!

I just used # 3271 to make photo pillows - which I have made before. This time the image would not stick along the edges well, which I figured I could fix using fabric paint to decorate the edges and help seal. BUT when I started stuffing it, the image started pealing and cracking in the center. Ugh, very disappointed as this project should have only taken me an hour and I have wasted time, ink and other resources trying to get this project done. Now I need to wait for my husband to stop and buy more transfer paper (probably a different brand) on his way home! I have used AVery before. But this box - ugh!

I will not buy this product again

I followed the directions. Printed beautifully. Very vivid sharp images printed. I used my heat press machine at 305 degrees for 30sec and it stayed on the shirt and looked really good. First shirt I burned, second I didn't mirror the image, and third shirt was the charm except that it cracked when I stretched it and started peeling the next day. I used it for a design I did for my 4 year old. The face of sadness and disappointment in her face was not cool. I tried 4/6 sheets from packet and I must say, I will not buy this type of transfer anymore, will try a different brand.
Pros: Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: Did last more than 2 days

worked great for library teen project

There IS a learning curve with these, even if you follow the directions exactly. We underheated one, and it peeled off. We overheated one, and the whole thing had a yellowish hue to it. We expected to wreck a few of them in the process, though, so all in all we're super happy with the end results (the ones that turned out great). Our library is hosting a group of teens who are attempting to break a world record, and they designed a logo for a t-shirt. All team members are wearing the shirts (logos ironed on beautifully) as they attempt the world record. Give yourself plenty of time to learn, and a couple extra for the learning curve, and you should be happy in the end.

Very disappointed in Avery

I wanted to use these to make shirts with my Logo on them for my husband and I for when I do craft shows. FAIL. big time. I followed the instructions and even printed off a page to practice on a piece of fabric (The 4x4" piece worked WONDERFULLY) So I tried my full page logo. Read the instructions one more time just for good measure, noting that ironing time for a full page should take about 3 minutes. An hour and a half later, I'm still struggling to get an edge, any edge, of the paper to peel off of the plasticy stuff that the transfer is made out of. I finally get one edge to peel off and the transfer tears in the middle. I carefully place the bit that tore back on the shirt and iron over it again. Finally success! sort of. the edges that I painstakingly ironed with all of my weight against it are still peeling and frayed. My 2 shirts are currently in the wash, by themselves, on cold and I'm not expecting much when they come out.

Not what they used to be

This product has gone downhill fast! We made some shirts 2 years ago with this paper and they are still intact today with regular washing and care. Recently though, we made some shirts last week and they cracked, peeled, and came off in the wash right after applying the transfers (and yes, we followed the instructions to the letter). Sadly, some of those shirt we made for a close friend and when she told me the transfers came off in the wash we were completely embarrassed. This has forced us to used a different brand of transfer paper. Whatever changes Avery made to these transfers was obviously NOT for the better!
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Crack Easily, Peels Off In The Wash, Not Durable Anymore

Beware of the extra sheet!

As a first-time user of the fabric transfers, I mistakenly pulled out a piece of paper in the package of fabric transfer sheets that was NOT a fabric transfer sheet. I printed my image on it and then tried ironing it to my fabric, only to find that sticky stuff was adhering the paper to the iron's sole-plate. Worse yet, the sticky stuff was very difficult to remove from the iron's surface. I don't know why this sheet is in the package, why there is no marking on it instructing first-time users "DO NOT USE". We spent at least 45 minutes cleaning off the stuff from our iron.

We had to make t-shirts for a company baseball game, and this product not only delivered to us very quickly, but also was very easy to use (as we were SO tight for time, we pretty much had 24 hours). Would order again when we need it, for sure.
Pros: Dries Quickly, Easy to use, Looks Sharp
