worked great for library teen project

There IS a learning curve with these, even if you follow the directions exactly. We underheated one, and it peeled off. We overheated one, and the whole thing had a yellowish hue to it. We expected to wreck a few of them in the process, though, so all in all we're super happy with the end results (the ones that turned out great). Our library is hosting a group of teens who are attempting to break a world record, and they designed a logo for a t-shirt. All team members are wearing the shirts (logos ironed on beautifully) as they attempt the world record. Give yourself plenty of time to learn, and a couple extra for the learning curve, and you should be happy in the end.

Great product! Don't take the negative reviews too seriously!

I have been buying Avery's transfer paper (light and dark) for over a year. I've done lots of clothing items with it and I've NEVER had an issue with his product. I read some of the reviews and it baffles me how people can't do some research of it. If you Google this product, they are highly recommended for a reason...because it works. Some common issues I've seen is that it's not printing correctly, it isn't peeling from the paper before pressing, the edges aren't sticking. Do some research. It's not hard to figure out. Make sure you have your printer setting correctly, IT MATTERS! Plain letter paper, HIGH quality. Light transfer paper doesn't peel off the paper, its meant to print and flip on the garnet and press. No peeling required. If he edges aren't sticking. The iron or heat press isn't set to the correct temperature, time or pressure. Just go over the stubborn areas in small circular movements for a few seconds. Just be careful because you can overheat it to the point where it won't stick at all.
I've never had any issues with ANY of Avery's products.

I was really excited about this, but when I used it I could barely get the paper off of the shirt. The edges of all the images are torn and half of another just fell off. Waste of my money!

Absolutely terrible.

I have been making my own t-shirts for years. I have never used the avery brand because I have never had good luck with any of their products. I bought this because the brand I normally use was sold out. I needed to make 2 simple shirts for an event. Well, 4 ruined shirts later I finally gave up. I will never ever use an avery product again. The transfer would not peel off and it turned all the white that was in their logo brown. An absolute waste of money. I lost money and a customer.

Clear Transfers Turn White After Washing

I've never had problems with Avery products before, so I was shocked at how bad these transfers are. They did not adhere properly with heat, so had to be ironed more than once. The backing did not peel away easily. The transfer on some shirts was rough textures, and after washing, the clear transfer turned white, which looks awful on pastel shirts. I ruined hudreds of dollars worth of shirts with these transfers. Stay away!
Cons: Turned White After Wash, Cracked On First Wash, Did Not Adhere Well, Did Not Transfer Cleanly

I wanted to use these to make shirts with my Logo on them for my husband and I for when I do craft shows. FAIL. big time. I followed the instructions and even printed off a page to practice on a piece of fabric (The 4x4" piece worked WONDERFULLY) So I tried my full page logo. Read the instructions one more time just for good measure, noting that ironing time for a full page should take about 3 minutes. An hour and a half later, I'm still struggling to get an edge, any edge, of the paper to peel off of the plasticy stuff that the transfer is made out of. I finally get one edge to peel off and the transfer tears in the middle. I carefully place the bit that tore back on the shirt and iron over it again. Finally success! sort of. the edges that I painstakingly ironed with all of my weight against it are still peeling and frayed. My 2 shirts are currently in the wash, by themselves, on cold and I'm not expecting much when they come out.

I bought the light fabric transfers (item 3271) to make tshirts for my son who is always looking for new funny graphic shirts. I was really pleased with how easy it was to create a design (I just pasted images into word docs) and then print it out. The only downside to using this method (and not using one of the online templates) was that I forgot to print the image "backwards" using the mirror image setting. At about $2/sheet, this can be a costly mistake. I would say that the images print best (bold colors) on white tshirts. Even on light gray shirts the color was not as good.
