Incomplete Instructions in manual.

Suggestion for improvements in instruction manual and supplied setup sheet. First it should be stated somewhere that the on/off light will not come on if the shredder head is not properly seated on the base cabinet. No matter if the switch on the back is in the ON position. The unit will not operate as hoped if this step is not done. Returned a perfectly good unit because it did not work out of the box because your instruction booklet and setup sheet did not mention this fact explicitly. Very frustrating.
Cons: poor incomplete instructions

Very Quiet for a Shredder

I just bought this shredder and so far I am very pleased. It is SO quiet compared to cheaper brands/models. It did seem a little flimsy out of the box. I think that when I snapped the cutter onto the base, the back latches didn't go in just right. Unfortunately once it is snapped together it can't be taken apart. So on mine the back is not quite flush along the seam of the base and the cutter assembly. Hopefully that won't affect the operation or the noise level. I am hoping to get a long use out of this shredder, as Fellowes has a good reputation.
Pros: Quiet Operation, Warranty
Cons: Quality Construction

This thing is a beast! Motor sounds like it might be underpowered but it POWERS through everything I throw at it. Best investment ever!

I like the pull out bin for emptying and it is very quiet when running. Works very well. The plastic of the unit is very flimsy. That’s my only complaint.

Cons: flimsy plastic housing
