This tape is so terrible that I was roused to create an account and write a review over a basic office product. It used to be basically equivalent to Scotch tape but they’ve changed something recently and the result is borderline rage inducing. It’s not really transparent any more and ink underneath it bleeds over time. It won’t come off the roll smoothly making you have to yank a centimeter or so off at a time. To top if off it simultaneously won’t cut on my very sharp dispenser but tears itself into little pieces constantly. I often have to make multiple attempts to get a piece of desired length. It’s not even that cheap compared to actual Scotch tape. Buy something else.

Item quality has drastically changed in recent months. We use a lot of this type of tape and will be looking to purchase elsewhere. Buyer beware. Definitely not "invisible" it's quite opaque. Rips in odd spots often too small of a piece to use. Won't cut in the dispenser.

Bad Quality and Staples doesn't stand by product

Tape is horrible quality. It will rip right out of the box or about 5 pulls in. Then it takes forever to find and start the tape again. And when you tell Staples about the problem they offer a horrible credit since you clearly can't return the product since the rolls have been opened. Clearly I ordered the big back since I have multiple tape dispensers. Disappointed in the product and Staples customer service. Do yourself a favor get a name brand tape.

We've been buying the Staples brand tape for many years. The last 2 purchases (in the red & white box) are terrible. It doesn't tear and doesn't stick. Definitely a fail. Where is Quality Control?

Everyone at our law firm has loved Staples Invisible Clear Tape for years but very recently this tape has unfortunately changed and it is not the same. It is not invisible or clear any more it is opaque white.
