Great for Fountain Pens (for the price)

Fountain pen users: believe the hype. No feathering no spread no bleed through and I actually get some decent shading. Sustainable fibers is icing on the cake. Knocked a star because it's not the smoothest paper and can be a little toothy with some inks. Wetter inks actually fare better on this paper. Wish they made it in legal size.

Excellent for Fountain Pens

I bought these notepads as I'd seen they were recommended for fountain pen usage. The pages are quite thin but they do not disappoint. There is no feathering and no significant bleed through that would prevent writing on both sides of the page. My only complaint would be that the cardboard backing of each pad is very flimsy so you'll need a clip board if you're planning on using it off of a desk. LOVE these pads of paper.

I love this paper!

I have been using this for several years. I tutor high school math so use a lot of these pads. While I initially chose it because of its sustainability factor I've continued with it for several reasons. My pencil glides easily across the surface the writing appears clearly against the background and the pencil marks do not smudge. Also I find the tan lines make the writing much easier to read than a traditional blue line. I absolutely love the look and feel of these pads.

Okay but sheets tear off too easily

We use these pad to write down work completed. The pages tear off too easily. Otherwise I have no problem with these pads.

Excellent for Use with Fountain Pens

I'm an admitted fountain pen and bottled ink junkie. I bought these notepads on the recommendations of other fountain pen users as being inexpensive but high quality paper. I haven't been disappointed. I've used Pelikan 4001 Edelstein J. Herbin Diamine and Iroshizuku inks with extra fine fine medium and broad nibs and have not had any feathering or bleeding despite how thin it is. In most cases I could have written on both sides of the paper. Yes the sheet perforations could be better but if you tear off the sheets carefully they separate well. The rule lines are very light and unobstrusive.

Terrible paper this time

We have ordered this exact paper in this pack before and the paper was decently white with a smooth finish. Just re-ordered and this time the paper has a distinct grayish cast and a rougher surface. Almost like recycled paper. It's not good and I will not be reordering this again.

Great Fountain Pen writing paper

This paper is wonderful for writing with a fountain pen. The ink does not soak in but dries on the surface. Have used it with fine to broad nibs and with "dry" to very "wet" inks. Wonderful. Too bad it does not seem to be available in any of the Staples stores anymore.
