I received this as a free sample. It brews a so- so cup of coffee. The first sip seemed bitter, with a slightly burnt aftertaste. The second sip was better. There was no bitter aftertaste with the rest of the cup. It did have a full body featuring a nice, fairly round, mouth-feel; although, not as nice as Emeril's Big Easy Bold or Timothy's Parisian Nights. I like a very strong roast, and this just didn't seem to measure up to me. It definitely couldn't get me "jump-started" in the morning. Maybe as a nice pick-me-up in the afternoon?
Pros: Attractive Mouthfeel/Body
Cons: Not Enough Flavor, Unbalanced Or Sharp Acidity
I have avoided French Roast K-Cups in the past since a lot of them taste like "burnt cigarettes" (maybe a different memory of Paris), but this one tasted much better. It is strong dark flavor, but in the right ways. I would definitely drink this one again.
I love a good strong coffee and this flips the bill. This coffee is a great pick me up first thing in the morning. It does have a very bitter taste at the end end though which can be softened with a little creamer.
Everythihng about this coffee is wonderful. From the minute you smell the aroma in the air to the minute you take your first sip this is a coffee you will not soon forget. It has a wonderful bold taste that makes you remember why it is you love coffee so much. It reminds you of snow on the ground and a cabin on top of the mountains with a view of the valley below. Simply wonderful! Enjoy.
Pros: Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Deep Bold Taste, Pleasing Roast
